Finance minister : Let's not play games. You know very well what this is about. You're digging into matters you should leave alone.

The minister said and his voice is dripping with menace.

Finance minister : You have no idea who you're up against.

Krishna clenched his jaw as anger is surging within him.

Krishna : I'm not afraid of you or your threats. I'm doing my job. I am doing something you clearly don't understand.

Finance minister : Watch yourself. The higher you climb, the harder you fall. I can make your life a living hell, Krishna. A simple phone call can ruin everything you've worked for.

The minister warned with a sinister undertone in his voice.

Krishna : You can try.

Krishna shot back and his temper is flaring.

Krishna : But you underestimated me. I'm not just some pawn in your game. I'm here to expose the truth, and I won't back down because of your empty threats.

A pause hung in the air, then the finance minister's laughter echoed on the line, cold and mocking.

Krishna : You think you're a hero ? Heroes don't last long in this world. Remember, I have connections that are more than what you might've imagined . I can turn the public against you in an instant.

Krishna : You think I care what you can do ?

Krishna retorted with his voice rising.

Krishna : You're a criminal hiding behind a suit, and I will see you brought to justice. You don't scare me.

With that, Krishna ended the call but his heart is racing. He slammed the phone down on the table, feeling a surge of adrenaline. The threat was real, but so was his resolve. He couldn't let fear dictate his actions.

Vrindha : Everything okay ?

Vrindha asked as she entered the room by  sensing his agitation.

Krishna : Just a warning call from the finance minister.

He replied by running a hand through his hair.

Krishna : He thinks he can intimidate me.

Vrindha : Did he ?

She asked with concern etching her features.

Krishna : No. I told him I'm not afraid. I won't back down.

Krishna's voice was firm, but inside , he felt a knot of unease. The finance minister was powerful, and the threats were not to be taken lightly.

Vrindha stepped closer by placing a hand on his arm.

Vrindha : You need to be careful. He won't play fair. This isn't just about the case. It's personal for him now.

Krishna : I know.
