After an hour of shared laughter and a delicious breakfast, Krithi set down her empty plate and glanced at her phone.
Krithi : Hey, I need to head out. I'm going to meet a friend to buy some academic books.
Krishna nodded by looking up from his own plate.
Krishna : Just make sure you come back early, okay ? We still have some plans for the day.
Krithi waved him off with a teasing smile on her lips.
Krithi : Relax ! I'll be fine. I'll go to our house afterward. I have some work to finish up there.
Vrindha exchanged a glance with Krishna, both of them slightly concerned.
Vrindha : Be safe, Krithi. And don't take too long !
Krithi chuckled as she grabbed her bag from the couch.
Krithi : I promise! I'll see you both later.
With a quick wave, she headed out the door leaving Vrindha and Krishna alone in the cozy living room . The sudden quiet felt different, the energy is shifting as they realised they now had the space to talk freely.
Vrindha leaned against the table as her heart is racing slightly as she turned her attention back to Krishna.
Vrindha : So... what do you want to do now ?
Krishna stepped closer and his expression is thoughtful.
Krishna : I was actually hoping we could have a little more time to ourselves. You know, to talk about what's been on our minds.
Vrindha felt her cheeks heat up as she nodded.
Vrindha : Yeah, I'd like that.
They settled onto the couch. The atmosphere was charged with anticipation, both of them aware of the weight of their unspoken feelings.
Krishna : I know things have changed between us, and I want to make sure we're both okay with it.
Vrindha took a deep breath and the words she had been holding in finally ready to spill out.
Vrindha : I've been thinking a lot about our friendship, Krishna. It means everything to me, and I don't want to risk losing that.
Krishna nodded, his gaze unwavering.
Krishna : I feel the same way. But at the same time, I can't ignore how much I care about you. I want you to know that I'm here for you, no matter what you decide. Friendship and love are different but we have both , that's going to be amazing Vrindha.
Vrindha felt a rush of emotion, the sincerity in his voice is reassuring her.
Vrindha : I appreciate that. I really do. I just need to figure things out in my head first.
