Parvathi : What is it amma ? Whatever it is, I promise.

Parvathi replied with concern etched on her face.

The old woman took a deep breath, her voice is steady despite her frail condition.

Grandma : Promise me that you will make sure Vrindha has the wedding she deserves. I want to see my only granddaughter's marriage before I leave this world.

Vrindha's breath caught in her throat. She felt a rush of emotions blended with surprise, joy, and an undercurrent of anxiety. The thought of her grandmother wanting to witness her wedding was both heartwarming and overwhelming.

Vrindha : Amamma ! I... I don't know when that will happen.

Vrindha stammered and her mind is racing.

Vrindha : I'm focused on my work and there's so much to do.

Grandma : I know, my dear.

The  old woman replied with a knowing smile playing on her lips.

Grandma : But life doesn't wait for anyone. You deserve happiness too, and I want to see that joy while I still can.

Arjun who is standing beside Subhadra exchanged a glance with her, and they both nodded in understanding. The weight of the moment was palpable. they could feel the love and urgency in their grandmother's words.

Arjun : Don't worry amma. We'll make sure it happens.

Arjun said by trying to ease the tension in the room.

Arjun : But you have to promise to get better first.

Grandma : Promise me, Parvathi.

the old woman insisted and her voice is firm but gentle.

Grandma : This is important to me.

Parvathi nodded with  tears glistening in her eyes.

Parvathi : I promise amma.  We'll do everything we can to make it happen. I'll talk to Vrindha about it.

Vrindha felt a mixture of warmth and apprehension. She appreciated her grandmother's desire to see her settled, but the pressure weighed heavily on her heart. She wanted to focus on her work, on making a difference in the community, yet the thought of not fulfilling her grandmother's wish felt like a heavy burden.

The old woman reached out a shaky hand, resting it on Vrindha's.

Grandma : You're strong, my dear. I've always admired that about you. You have the power to shape your own future.

With that simple gesture, the room filled with a sense of hope, even amid the uncertainty. The love shared among them was a comforting balm against the harsh reality of life's fragility.
