A few days passed, and Vrindha officially stepped into her new role as the Commissioner of GHMC. As the youngest person to hold this prestigious position, she felt a mix of excitement and nerves. The office buzzed with activity, and she was greeted warmly by her new colleagues, who were eager to support her.
On her first day, she walked through the office by soaking in the atmosphere. The walls were adorned with pictures of past commissioners, their achievements are displayed like badges of honour. Vrindha felt a surge of pride knowing she was now part of this legacy. Despite the thrill, she couldn't help but miss her old team. They had been more than colleagues. they were friends who had supported her through challenges.
Throughout her day, she made a point to stay in touch with her former team. During lunch breaks, she exchanged messages with them, sharing her experiences and seeking advice on the new challenges she faced from the senior colleagues. They were always quick to respond, reminding her of the bond they had formed.
As she settled into her role, Vrindha immersed herself in the responsibilities that came with being the commissioner. She attended meetings, strategized projects, and engaged with community leaders. She felt invigorated by the work, relishing the opportunity to make a tangible impact on the city she loved.

One evening, after a long day, she returned home to find Krishna waiting for her. He greeted her with a warm smile and a homemade dinner spread on the table.
Krishna : How was your day darling ?
He asked and his eyes are sparkling with interest.
Vrindha : It was amazing !
She exclaimed and her enthusiasm is bubbling over.
Vrindha : I've already started working on some initiatives to improve waste management and enhance community engagement. It feels like I'm finally where I'm meant to be. I am continuously following up the employees of all levels.
Krishna listened intently, his pride evident.
Krishna : I knew you would excel in this role. You've always had the passion for making a difference.
As they shared dinner, Vrindha continued to talk about her plans, the challenges she anticipated, and the connections she was building.
Vrindha : I'm loving the responsibility, but I still miss my old team.
she admitted.
Krishna nodded sympathetically.
Krishna : It's natural to miss them, but you'll create a new support system here. And don't forget, you have me. I'm always here to listen and help however I can.
Feeling grateful, Vrindha smiled.
Vrindha : I know ! I really appreciate that. I want to make you proud, too.
