The day of the final hearing arrived, and the courtroom buzzed with anticipation. Arjun and Krishna sat side by side. Vrindha sat behind them. Their eyes locked as krishna turned back and both of their eyes are filled with a mix of anxiety and hope. The atmosphere was charged, a palpable energy coursing through the air as everyone awaited the judge's verdict.
After what felt like an eternity, the judge entered, and the room fell silent. He took his seat, adjusted his glasses, and began to read the verdict.
Judge : After reviewing the evidence and testimonies presented in this case, it is clear that the claims made by the villagers have merit. The court rules in favor of the plaintiffs...
The words echoed in Krishna's ears, each syllable a sweet victory. As the judge continued outlining the ruling and the compensation to be awarded, Vrindha's heart swelled with joy. She exchanged a glance with Krishna, their eyes shining with shared triumph.
Finally, the judge adjourned the session, and the gavel echoed through the room.
As they stepped out of the courtroom, the weight of the last few weeks lifted off their shoulders. Vrindha turned to Krishna, her eyes sparkling with happiness.
Vrindha : We did it !
Without thinking, she threw her arms around him, hugging him tightly. In that moment, all the stress and worry melted away.
Krishna smiled by wrapping his arms around her waist, savouring the warmth of her embrace.
Krishna : I knew we would.
As she pulled back, she kissed him softly on his forehead and her heart is racing. Krishna, in turn, pressed a gentle kiss on her cheek. It was a gesture filled with affection and pride.
Just then, a group of village women approached them, their faces beaming with gratitude and excitement.
Savitri, the woman who had initiated the case, stepped forward and her eyes are glistening with tears of joy.
Savitri : Thank you madam ! Thank you sir ! You've given us hope !
Krishna and Vrindha turned to face the women, their hearts swelling with pride at the recognition.
Vrindha : This victory belongs to all of you. You stood up for your rights, and that made all the difference.
Another villager, a middle-aged woman, clasped her hands together.
Villager : We couldn't have done it without your support. You've changed our lives !
Krishnais feeling a rush of emotion and he nodded earnestly.
Krishna : You all had the courage to come forward, and that takes strength. This is just the beginning. together, we can make sure your rights are protected in the future too.
