Krishna stepped into his home, the weight of the day's battle still pressing on him. He dropped onto the couch, his body sinking into the cushions and exhaustion flooding over him. As he took a moment to breathe, his gaze fell on Vrindha's mobile resting on the coffee table. Surprised, he realized she must have come home early from her duties as the GHMC Commissioner.

Curious and slightly concerned, he untucked his shirt, feeling the need to be more comfortable. He walked into their bedroom and the soft light of setting sun is filtering through the curtains illuminating the space. There, he found Vrindha lying on their bed, her face is dull and tired which is contrasting sharply with her usual vibrant energy.

A sense of unease crept across his mind. He approached her slowly, touching her forehead gently. It was hot to the touch, confirming his fear that she had a high fever. His heart sank. He noticed fever medicine on the bedside table, one pill already taken.

Krishna : Vrindha !

He called softly by brushing a few strands of hair from her forehead.

She stirred slowly and her eyes fluttering open.

Vrindha : Krishna ?

she replied in a hoarse and low voice that cut through him like a knife. She struggled to prop herself up, but her weakness was evident.

Krishna : Hey, love.

He said with  concern etching his features.

Krishna : When did you get this fever ? When did you come home ?

Vrindha : About two hours ago.

she murmured, trying to maintain a semblance of strength, but her voice betrayed her fatigue.

Vrindha : I was feeling extremely tired.

Krishna : Did you eat anything ?

He pressed by scanning her face for signs of distress.

She nodded weakly, but Krishna's instincts told him something was off. He turned towards the kitchen with a growing anxiety in his chest. Upon opening the lunchbox he found it untouched, confirming his worry.

Krishna : Vrindha !

He exclaimed by rushing back to her side.

Krishna : You didn't eat anything ? You need to take care of yourself !

Quickly, he freshened up by washing his face and hands before heading back into the kitchen. He squeezed fresh oranges a making juice as he focused on getting some nutrition into her.

Returning to the bedroom, he gently helped her to sit up by guiding the glass to her lips.

Krishna : Drink this. You need some citrus juice.
