Missing

Mereoleona crossed her arms as she sat down at the table,

"Why are we all here? I was about to go to the border again,"

Fernleon sighed as he sat across from his oldest daughter,

"The Wizard King asked to speak with us all,"

Leopold looked around with a frown,

"So where are Fuegoleon and Mynx?"

Fernleon frowned,

"I heard that they went on a mission to fight the Diamond Kingdom in Kiten,"

Mereoleona frowned as her gut instincts kicked in again,

"So if they aren't h-"

Julius entered before she could finish her thought and waved at the three,

"Hello, thank you for coming,"

The three saluted at him,

"Our pleasure King Julius, what is this about?"

Mereoleona narrowed her eyes,

"Are they alright?"

Julius sighed and glanced at Marx who nodded his head. Julius sat down at the head of the table and crossed his hands,

"I have some news that I wish I would never have to say,"

Leopold immediately looked away and Julius sighed,

"During their battle...Vice Captain Mynx used a very powerful offensive spell while she was sporting a few injuries...She is officially reported as missing. After the attack, the Diamond Mages were all wiped out and one of the Crimson Lion squad members, Randall, found some of her items without finding her. Captain Fuegoleon is leading a search party and I will be sending a few Magic Knights out to search for her. It pains me to think of this, but Mynx is reported as Missing in Action, it is very possible that she was killed."

Leopold immediately stood up and pointed at him with anger in his eyes,

"You are lying! She isn't dead! She can't die! She's too strong to die! Where are they? This must be a joke I refuse to be tricked!"

Mereoleona looked over at her brother and rose. She put a hand on his shoulder and shook her head,

"He speaks the truth. I will go look for her right now. You help out in the house,"

Leopold opened his mouth to protest but Fernleon put a hand on his shoulder,

"Leopold, calm down. If anyone can find Mynx, Mereoleona and Fuegoleon can,"

Leopold sighed and looked down and nodded,

"I apologize for my behavior, Wizard king,"

Julius smiled softly at him and nodded,

"I understand what you are feeling...I wish to find Mynx as well, she is a good friend of mine too,"

Fernleon nodded at him,

"Thank you for your kind words,"

"I may have not known Mynx as long as you have, but she stuck out to me ever since she took her exam. It is not often that every captain raises their hand for a commoner, in fact, I believe she is the first one,"
