Hot Springs

Mynx groaned as she plopped down on the grass next to Aphi. Aphi tilted his head at her,

"What happened,"

Mynx pouted,

"Mereo can't go to the Hot Springs today cuz she's stuck at the base making sure Fuego doesn't blow up on anyone,"

Aphi chuckled,

"Hot springs? I can go with you if you want,"

Mynx's eyes brightened,

"Really?!"

Aphi shrugged,

"Sure, sounds fun,"

Without warning, Mynx lunged at him, wrapping her arms around his neck in a hug.

"Oh, thank you, thank you! I've been wanting to train so much! This is going to be so much fun!"

Aphi froze for a moment, his arms awkwardly hovering before patting her back. His eyebrows knitted together,

"Train?"

Mynx smirked and nodded,

"Yep!"

Aphi glanced at Balto, who was sprawled lazily nearby, observing the exchange with a bemused expression,

"What did I just agree to?"

Balto lifted his head, his glowing blue eyes glinting mischievously,

"You just agreed to train with Mynx. I'll write your obituary,"

Aphi's face paled as he looked at Mynx, who was already bouncing on her heels in excitement,

"What?!"

Mynx tugged on his arm, her grin widening,

"Come on! Let's go!"

Aphi groaned as they stood up and Mynx took out her grimoire,

"Cosmic Magic: Pegasus Awaken!"

Aphi's jaw dropped as he stared at the celestial creature, awe filling his gaze,

"Woah,"

Mynx watched him with a faint smile, something stirring inside her as she saw the wonder in his expression. She jumped onto her pegasus and extended her hand toward him,

"Come on, let's get going,"

Aphi grabbed her hand, and she helped him up. Mynx glanced at Balto,

"Balto, can you go check up on Fuego? Tell him it's illegal to kill and that will never change,"

Balto groaned,

"Fine fine, I'll go,"

Mynx smiled at him,

"Thanks for preventing murder!"

"No promises!"

Aphi laughed,

"I still can't believe Balto is allowed to go back and forth,"

Mynx shrugged,

"Yeah, Damnatio knew he couldn't prevent a Spirit Guardian from doing that. So he agreed to allow Balto to come and go,"

Aphi nodded, and Mynx winked at him playfully,

"Hold on tight!"

The Pegasus took off, and Aphi gasped as he wrapped his arms around Mynx's waist. He opened his eyes again, and he smiled as he felt the wind against his face,

"It's been a while since I was in the air,"

Mynx laughed as she raised her arms carelessly,

"Me too! Woooo!"
