Mynx grumbled as she sat down on the bench,

"Why do we have to do this?"

Fuegoleon laughed,

"Because we are very responsible,"

"But I don't want to meet other people!"

"Mynx, you can not only talk to people in our squad!"

"Watch me!"

Fuegoleon sighed,

"Come on, I know you like learning, apparently there is a foreigner in the Grey Deers,"

Mynx immediately looked over at him,

"A foreigner?"

"Yes, his name is Yami, he's a few years younger than us, just turned fifteen. Captain Julius asked him to join his squad,"

"Huh...what kind of magic does Yami have?"

"I'm not sure. That's why I want to meet him."

"How exactly are we going to meet him?"

"I already told you! We have a joint mission with the Grey Deers. Captain Julius asked our Father to pick two of us to send over to him. He picked us,"

"Can't he say oops my bad I meant my other two kids?"

Fuegoleon deadpanned at her,

"Yeah, let's send the two year-old and nineteen year-old to a quest,"

"I think Leo would learn a lot!"

"I take that as a good thing and you know it,"

Fuegoleon sighed. Mynx leaned back against the bench, crossing her arms with a defiant pout. Fuegoleon shook his head, but a small smile tugged at his lips. Despite her grumbling, he knew she was secretly excited about meeting new people, even if she wouldn't admit it. Especially someone as intriguing as this new foreigner, Yami.

"Alright. Let's go find Captain Julius and introduce ourselves. Maybe we'll get lucky and see this Yami kid in action."

Mynx groaned,

"Fine, but if this turns out to be boring, I'm blaming you."

Fuegoleon chuckled and led the way toward the Grey Deer's training grounds. As they walked, Mynx's eyes darted around, scanning the surroundings with curiosity despite her earlier protests. She spotted various mages practicing their magic—one manipulating vines to create a wall, another casting spells of light to illuminate a nearby area. After a short walk, they arrived at a more secluded part of the training grounds where Captain Julius was overseeing some of his squad members. His eyes immediately lit up when he saw Fuegoleon and Mynx approaching.

"Ah you must be Fuegoleon and Mynx Vermillion! I am so glad you could both make it, very nice to meet you!"

Fuegoleon stepped up and saluted at him,

"Thank you for having us, Captain Julius. It's an honor to meet you."

Mynx gave a small, somewhat begrudging nod, her curiosity getting the better of her,

"Yeah, nice to meet you,"

Julius chuckled warmly,

"I've heard a lot about you both. I'm excited to see what you're capable of. I believe this is your first joint mission with the Grey Deers?"
