Fernleon placed his hand on Mynx's shoulder with a proud smile on his face,

"Mynx, this is the day-"

"Are you giving me a father speech again?"

Fernleon deadpanned at her and chopped her head,

"Listen!"

Mynx yelped and nodded,

"Yes sir!"

Fernleon smiled and placed his hand back on her shoulder,

"No matter the outcome of this exam, Mynx, I want you to follow your instincts. Don't let us tie you down, if you feel as if you should go down a different path, you will always have our support,"

Mynx frowned,

"You don't want me on the Crimson Lions?"

Fernleon chuckled,

"Of course I do. However, you have a four-leaf clover grimoire, I want you to follow the path that you are destined for. I highly doubt we will be the only ones that raise our hand,"

Mynx smiled at him and pulled him into a hug,

"I will make you proud,"

Fernleon chuckled as he patted her head,

"You already have, Mynx. I am proud of who you have become,"

Mynx smiled brightly at him,

"Thanks, sir,"

Fernleon nodded and turned around,

"I must join the other captains, make sure to show everyone just what a commoner can do,"

Mynx smiled at saluted at him,

"Yes siiir!"

Fernleon chuckled and joined the captains as they all sat down. Mynx stared up at the captains as she took notice that one in particular seemed the most excited, he had shining purple eyes and blonde hair. He also was positioned in the middle of all the Captains which meant that man there was Julius Novachrono, the Captain of the Grey Deers and the best squad of the Magic Knights. She heard about him from Fernleon and everyone respected him the most. Some say he was going to be the next Wizard King. Someone walked up to her and bumped into her and she immediately glared at the boy,

"Hey, watch it,"

The boy smirked and glanced her over,

"You were in my way."

Mynx glared at him,

"You should have watched where you were walking boy."

"Watch that tongue. My name is Derek Murse, son of one of the largest Noble Families in the Capital."

Mynx shrugged,

"Don't care,"

Derek glared at her,

"You filthy commoner-"

Mynx rolled her eyes,

"Don't have time for that, shut up and get over yourself,"

Derek Murse's face flushed with anger at Mynx's casual dismissal, his noble pride wounded.

"How dare you!"

His voice was dripping with indignation,

"You think you can talk to me like that, you nobody?"

Mynx didn't bother responding, turning her back on him as she focused her attention back on the captains. She had no time for childish banter; the exam was about to start, and she needed to be ready. The first exam was control. Mynx smirked as she took out her Grimoire with ease,
