Mynx opened her Grimoire,
"Cosmic Magic: Sword of Perseus,"
A shimmering sword formed in her hand, its blade crackling with cosmic energy. With a swift motion, she hurled it through the air toward Aphi, who caught it with ease. The sword hummed in his grasp, resonating with his mana.
"I have the best girlfriend,"
Mynx chuckled,
"You know it,"
Aphi raised the sword in sync with Mars,
"For the Kingdom!"
Cheers erupted behind the two as they rallied the forces from the Diamond Kingdom. Mynx smirked tightened her grip on her bow, and glanced at Fuegoleon,
"Our turn,"
Fuegoleon nodded and raised his fiery arm,
"For Humanity!"
Mynx instinctively felt her mana surround her as an extra layer of protection as she raised her fist,
"For the Kingdom!"
The combined battle cry of their forces echoed as they raised their grimoires, preparing for the inevitable clash. Ahead, the silhouettes of Spade Kingdom mages became clearer. A sudden surge of oppressive mana rippled through the air, causing Mynx to wince,
"Ah, so Marx was right,"
Fuegoleon's gaze hardened,
"On the signal, we fight,"
Mynx smirked and tapped her wrist,
"Stay alive?"
Fuegoleon tapped his wrist in return, the flames around him flaring briefly,
"Stay alive."
As soon as they could see the Spade symbol on some of the mages' capes, Mynx drew back an arrow,
"Cosmic Magic: Orion's Barrage!"
She released the spell, and a volley of glowing arrows rained down upon the advancing enemy. The arrows exploded on impact, creating bursts of cosmic light that disoriented the Spade mages. Fuegoleon followed up with a roaring wave of fire.
"Flame Magic: Infernal Lion Rampage!"
A fiery lion surged forward, tearing through enemy lines as the allied forces charged. Elemental magic filled the air—blasts of flame, water, and lightning colliding in chaotic brilliance.
As the battle raged on, the chaos scattered the Magic Knights across the battlefield. Mynx found herself separated from the others, her breathing steady but her eyes scanning for her next move. The oppressive mana in the air made her stomach churn as she realized she was alone.
Zenon emerged from the smoke, his bone sword dragging behind him with a grating sound. His cold gaze locked onto her.
"You're different...Your mana... it intrigues me."
Mynx raised her bow, her fingers steady on the string.
"Strangely enough, the last thing that said that ended up eating his words."
Zenon smirked and flicked his wrist. Bone spears shot toward her with deadly precision. Mynx leaped aside, releasing a volley of arrows mid-air that shattered the bones. Summoning her spear in one fluid motion, she landed in a crouch.
"Fine,"
The celestial spear gleamed as she twirled it behind her, settling into a battle stance.
"Close combat it is."
