Mynx's scream pierced the air, mingling with the overwhelming surge of mana that flooded her veins, sparking a searing pain. Her eyes blazed with a light blue and silver glow as she forced them open, barely catching her breath. The mana rippled around her, dense and cosmic, as though drawn from the deepest parts of the universe itself. She fought to channel it, clenching her hands to her sides, struggling to direct the force welling within her.

"Cosmic Magic: Comet!"

Her mana burst from her palms, launching her skyward in an explosion of stardust and light, streaking across the night like a comet. She was propelled forward, as if she could reach out and shield those she held dear. But she had no control.

"MYNX!"

The familiar voice was filled with desperation, but her skin was alive with mana, a prickling sensation that heightened her awareness. She sensed an unknown presence just behind her as she thought of the most important person in her mind.

"Fuego,"

He was hurt, bad. Her Grimoire flicked open, the pages flipping wildly. She barely had time to process her next move.

"Cosmic Magic: Lunar Release,"

She could feel the rush of energy well up within her as if releasing the power of the cosmos. Her senses were on fire, and she could feel the unknown presence even more clearly now.

"MYNX! Card Magic: Hearts Promise!"

Before she could react, a force slammed into her arm. Her vision blurred as she let out a howl, her mana pouring out with it, like the last breath of a dying star. Her body plummeted, her consciousness flickering—until something, no, someone, caught her. She felt the cool embrace of water, cushioning her descent. It was more than magic, it was someone's desperate plea to keep her safe.

"WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER?! LEAVE US! Come on, Shallow. Hey, stay with me, please stay with me. You can't leave me. Please don't leave me. The doc will fix you right up!"

The words echoed as she felt herself slipping, her senses dimming until only darkness remained, pulling her down into a place of silence and rest.
