Flaming Hope

Julius walked into the large room with a small hope deep in his heart,

"Thank you for coming on such short notice,"

Jack shot him a questioning look,

"What is it? Is this about that attack on Kiten an hour ago?"

Julius nodded,

"Yes, it is,"

Kaizer crossed his arms with a disgruntled expression,

"Some of my squad just got to Owen, a lot of them were injured. Some reinforcement the Golden Dawn was."

Julius winced and sank into his chair,

"Without the Golden Dawn and the Black Bulls' help, Kiten would have fallen entirely. Please, show some respect when William and Yami arrive."

Nozel, arms folded, narrowed his eyes at Julius.

"I thought Mereoleona was acting Captain. Where is she?"

"Ah, I suspect them to be getting here any moment now. As they had some things to discuss before arriving,"

Rill tilted his head,

"Do we have to wait for them?"

Julius nodded,

"Yes, we do. As this meeting was called by Captain Yami and Captain William,"

The doors burst open, and Yami strode in, a smirk on his face.

"Okay, warning. Crazy animal storming in!"

He was immediately silenced by a fiery paw slamming into his side, sending him flying into a seat.

"Ow,"

Mereoleona entered with William and Leopold held securely in flaming claws. She set them down gently.

"We have something important to talk about."

Julius nervously laughed,

"Tha-"

Mereoleona pointed to him,

"You. Quiet,"

Julius immediately settled back, nodding. No one wanted to provoke her when she was this serious. Mereoleona addressed the captains, her gaze fierce,

"We have a mission unheard of. Mynx is out there right now. I assume most of you heard about what happened during the Capital attack. One of the cubs in the Crimson Lions squad fought against Mynx trying to get through to her. She is under a mind-control spell from the Diamond Kingdom. She was recently in the battle of Kiten under the same powerful spell. This spell causes her Cosmic Magic to be depleted, she only uses Shadow Magic under this spell. Which is not her magical attribute. We must find Mynx to save her from the Diamond Kingdom."

Nozel narrowed his eyes at her,

"How can you be sure she can break free from this mind control?"

Yami scoffed,

"Because, braids, Asta was able to get through it with his anti-magic sword,"

Rill spoke up,

"But then why is she not here right now?"

William sighed,

"Because, once she was freed, she had no control over her mana and released all of the build-up. She lost consciousness and was captured by a Diamond Kingdom mage once again while Yami and I worked on helping a young Mage trying to save her."

Charlotte glanced at Yami,

"Who was the mage?"
