Mynx looked up,

"Hey, I sense some dark mana up ahead, that must be it,"

Fuegoleon nodded,

"I sense it too, we are almost there...we must stay alert for traps,"

Yami shrugged,

"It's coming from up ahead."

The team followed the trail until they reached a secluded clearing. The rogue mage's hideout was concealed behind a dark magic barrier. Fuegoleon surveyed the area,

"Hey, Mynx, do you think you can breach that barrier with that new spell?"

Mynx shrugged,

"Only one way to find out,"

She walked up to the barrier and held out her hands as her grimoire glowed,

"Cosmic Magic: Gemini's Sync!"

A shimmering aura enveloped her hands as she reached out to the barrier. The energy from her spell began to interact with the dark magic, creating ripples in the barrier.

"I'm almost through. Just keep an eye out for any traps."

But before she could fully penetrate the barrier, the rogue mage activated a necromantic defense. Dark energy projectiles shot out from the barrier, and one of them struck Mynx. She cried out in pain as the dark energy seared her side, causing her to collapse to the ground.

"MYNX!"

Fuegoleon ran over to her and helped her up,

"Ow motherfucker! Let's-"

Yami glared at her,

"Shut up, you are clearly injured, let us do the work while you focus on not dying,"

Mynx narrowed her eyes at him,

"I can and will still fight, I almost got through it,"

Fuegoleon sighed,

"Yami, let's shield Mynx while she finishes the barrier,"

Yami sighed,

"Fine,"

He took out his katana and nodded,

"Let's get this son of a bitch,"

Mynx raised one hand as the other covered her wound,

"Cosmic Magic: Gemini's sync!"

The shimmering aura from her spell intensified as she pushed through the pain. The barrier's dark magic rippled violently before it finally began to dissolve under the force of her cosmic mana. As the barrier shattered, the rogue mage emerged from the hideout, a dark figure cloaked in malevolent energy. He sneered at the trio,

"You think you can stop me? I've harnessed dark powers beyond your comprehension!"

Fuegoleon's eyes narrowed as he stepped forward,

"We're not here to play games. We're here to end your threat."

Yami pointed his katana toward him,

"And we're just getting started."

Mynx raised his hand as cosmic particles encased her fists,

"Let's finish this."

As the rogue mage stepped out of the barrier, Fuegoleon, Yami, and Mynx readied themselves for battle. Fuegoleon's eyes blazed with determination as he called upon his magic.
