Yami was livid. Mynx had just left the Black Bulls base after admitting something that rattled him to his core. She told Julius that she liked him—a confession Yami knew took every ounce of courage she had. And what did the Wizard King do? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. He just stood there, dumbstruck, leaving Mynx with no choice but to turn and leave.
Now, she was headed to the Heart Kingdom with Leopold and Xander. Yami clenched his fists as he watched her figure disappear into the distance. He had one task in mind, and he wasn't going to let it slide. He told William to meet him outside the Castle in the courtyard.
"Yami? What is it?"
Yami's fists tightened, his knuckles cracking audibly,
"We have an idiot to set right,"
William tilted his head, confused,
"Who are you talking about?"
Yami shot him a deadpan look.
"Who else? Julius."
William's brows furrowed.
"What did Julius do now?"
Yami threw his hands up.
"More like what he didn't do! Aphi and Mynx aren't getting married. And Mynx confessed to him—she told him she liked him—and the fool just stood there looking like he was about to crap his pants!"
William's jaw dropped,
"HE WHAT?!"
Yami nodded,
"THATS WHAT I SAID!"
William groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"All those years of planning and waiting for them to figure it out, and he ruins it in a single moment?"
"Exactly."
Yami cracked his knuckles and turned toward the tower where Julius's office was.
"Which is why we're going to knock some sense into him."
William's eyes widened.
"Hold on, Yami. You can't just—wait—YAMI, YOU CAN'T PUNCH HIM!"
Ignoring William, Yami stomped off toward the tower. William had no choice but to chase after him, his mind racing with how to stop this impending disaster.
By the time William caught up, Yami was already kicking open the door to Julius's office with a thunderous crash. Julius, seated at his desk and surrounded by stacks of documents, looked up in alarm.
"Ah, Yami. What can I do for you—"
Yami stormed up to him and lifted him by his cape,
"You listen to me, Julius. I respect you and everything. But-"
William burst into the room, wincing as he saw Julius dangling helplessly.
"YAMI! Put him down!"
Yami waved his hand dismissively,
"Relax, William. I'm not going to hurt him. Much."
Yami then shook Julius,
"SHE CONFESSED TO YOU, AND YOU STOOD THERE LIKE A DAMN IDIOT!"
That's when Marx walked in, clutching a stack of reports. He froze mid-step, his eyes widening at the sight.
"Yami! Put the Wizard King down this instant!"
Yami turned his glare on Marx.
"Do you know what this idiot did? MYNX CONFESSED TO HIM! AND HE DID NOTHING!"
Marx dropped the reports, his jaw hanging open,
"SHE WHAT?!!!!"
"THAT'S WHAT I SAID!"
Marx stormed over, yanking Julius out of Yami's grasp and setting him back on the ground. Then, without hesitation, he smacked Julius on the back of the head.
"How stupid are you, sir?!"
Julius rubbed the back of his head, groaning.
"I was—"
William crossed his arms.
"Lord Julius, you had the perfect chance to tell her how you felt. What could have possibly made you freeze up like that?"
Julius sighed, burying his face in his hands.
"I was shocked. I couldn't believe she actually felt the same way. By the time I tried running after her, she was already gone!"
Yami groaned.
"You should've turned the entire kingdom upside down looking for her!"
Julius looked at him,
"But she's marrying Aphi! I can't interfere with that."
Marx facepalmed, muttering under his breath.
"She doesn't love Aphi. She loves you. How hard is that to understand?"
Julius crossed his arms,
"But she is MARRYING him!"
William groaned,
"That's because the King forced them into this situation!"
Julius crossed his arms, frustration evident on his face.
"What am I supposed to do, go against his orders?"
They all stared at him and Yami tugged on his ear,
"OW!"
"YOU IDIOT! YOU ARE THE DAMN WIZARD KING! OF COURSE, YOU CAN DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!"
Julius groaned,
"BUT WHAT?"
William crossed his arms,
"Well, you have to wait for her to come back,"
Julius looked at him in surprise,
"Come back? Where is she going?"
Yami glared at him,
"She's going to the Heart Kingdom with Leopold and Xan,"
Julius groaned,
"This is all my fault,"
The three nodded, and Yami poked him in the chest,
"You damn right it is,"
Julius sighed,
"What can I do?"
William sighed,
"Wait for her to come back. Then get your ass over to see her and confess,"
Yami gasped and brought a hand to his face as he pointed to William,
"You cursed!"
William deadpanned at him,
"I'm an adult. I'm allowed to curse. I find it unfitting and unprofessional,"
Marx groaned, rubbing his temples,
"I need a raise,"
