The Vice Captain of the Crimson Lions

✨Iᴛ Aʟʟ Sᴛᴀʀᴛᴇᴅ Wɪᴛʜ ᴀ Fɪsᴛ✨

A young girl with raven black hair and sky blue eyes ran in the forest. She was jumping over roots and feeling the dirt under her feet. She felt free for the first time in her six years of life. She laughed as she raised her hand. She focused on the palm of her hands, and a light blue orb appeared with small lines that she does not understood just yet. She raised her hand higher and thrust it forward as a silver beam flew from her hand and against a tree as it creaked under pressure. She giggled and kept running until she hit a clearing,

"Hah! Take that!"

She tilted her head at the young voice. She summoned the blue orb back to her hand, but this time, the orb appeared in her left hand too. She slowly walked into the clearing, and when she sensed something coming to her, she immediately lifted her hand and released the glowing energy to meet the red flames approaching her,

"HEY!"

Two coughs were heard, and blue eyes clashed through the dust and ash that covered the two girls. A vermillion red-haired girl smiled widely with her eyes brightening,

"Woah! That was so cool! Hey! What's your name? You are very strong!"

The black-haired girl coughed again and smiled at her,

"My name is Mynx. Was that fire magic?"

The girl nodded,

"Yes, it was! My name is Mereoleona! What kind of magic was that?"

Mynx shrugged her shoulders,

"I am not sure-"

Mereoleona immediately grabbed her hands with a large grin,

"Let's train together!"

Mynx smiled as her eyes brightened,

"Really?"

Mereoleona nodded,

"Yes! I have been wanting to find someone strong to train with!"

Mynx laughed,

"You are covered in ash!"

Meroleona nudged her,

"And you are covered in dust,"

Mynx shrugged and ran her hand through her hair,

"Yeah, father will not be pleased,"

Mereoleona shrugged,

"My father is used to it, as well as my mother,"

Mynx tilted her head,

"Really? Father Orsi always scolds me when I come home dirty-"

"Father Orsi?"

Mynx nodded with a soft smile,

"Yeah! He takes care of me. He's the only one who wanted to,"

Mereoleona frowned,

"Where do you live?"

Mynx started walking further into the clearing,

"I live at the church here in Hage. Father said he found me right outside when I was still a baby. He's been taking care of me ever since,"

Mereoleona clenched her fist in anger,

"You were abandoned?"

Mynx shrugged,

"Yeah, but it doesn't bother me anymore. Father Orsi takes care of me...he doesn't always let me explore...but it's fun when I can! We don't have a lot, but as soon as I get older, I will start working to get us more money so we can get more food!"
