Yashshauna's POV
We made our way to the clearing of Johns-mans Forrest where the Dijnn said he would give Yashmin back, if I agree to give him something in return.Xena-Herra had warned me thoroughly about the mistakes of trusting a Dijnn but I had no choice; literally.......we, have no choice.
I had to get Yashmin back and I would do whatever I have to.
As we entered the clearing, I saw Jaunce and Kayla. But I didn't see Yashmin. It all made me very suspicious.
"Where is my child", I asked him.
"Don't worry, she isn't the child I want", he said. "So I'll hand her over eventually. "
His reasoning made no sense to me. I came only for my daughter and I didn't intend to leave without her.
Their very presence was starting to irritate me and I wasn't about to asked again.
"My feet are tired, let me just sit down here", I said as I glanced upon Xena-Herra.
"The Chieftess is starting to loose her patience", Xena said. "How about you tell us what you want so we can get this done quickly."
Xena surprised me, I have ony known for for a little while and yet still she understood me well.
I sat quietly with my head bow down to my lap as I waited patiently for his response.
"I want you", he said.
"No impossible", said Xena.
"I have an offer you cannot refuse", he said. "I'll reveal to you a secret your dad took to his grave", he continue.
"I am not interested if dad choose to keep whatever a secret; that was his right. He had many secrets. They did not bother me when he was alive. Why would they now", I said. "Besides my dad was an honest man. If he kept something from me, he knew why. And I trust his judgment."
He started laughing at me in total disbelief. "You both really don't know do you?", he asked.
I held up my head to face him. As he spoke again
"Your dad's deciet will come to haunt you. I can see it already sticking to your side, like a friend but it is indeed a parasite. You must understand your father deceit and understand what it means for your birth right , for Yashmin's birth right", he said.
Xena-Herra and I glanced at each other in surprise but then it hit me that we were infact dealing with a Djinn.
"Dijnn quit with your cheap tricks of distraction. I am going to count from ten to one and when I reach one, if you do not present Yashmin there will be hell to pay", I said as I held my head down once more.
"Haha......hell to pay is coming soon your way. Just remember, I did try to prepare and equipped you with knowledge", he said as he continued laughing.
"10........9........8......7......6......5......4.....3....2....1", I said as I looked up to behold my child and she wasn't there.
Jaunce 's POV
I stayed quiet, staring at her as she threw around her empty threats. I stood my ground mostly because I couldn't present Yashmin. Knowing she had gotten away all by herself.
I smiled as she count to ten, I wasn't afraid of her. She was going to have to surrender one of three things to me, excluding Yashmin. She didn't even know how valuable she is in her present state.
The minute we told her of the attack on her husband's people, that lavender scent gave me purpose again. And I just knew I had to have her.
"Jaunce!!", shouted Kayla distracting me from my thoughts.
The once lit clearing was now, really dark.
The Chieftess was now in full ghost form and floating around in darkness. The blue in her eyes were fully complimented by the streaks of lightening flashing through the dark."Since you have something of mine, how about I take some of yours", she said to me.
I around to face a very frighten Kayla.
"So what will it be?", she asked as she held on to Kayla.
I wanted to give her what she wanted but I just couldn't. "I don't have her?", I said.
Yashshauna's POV
"Today is not the day for this", I said as I formed a fist with my right hand and started inserting in slowly into Kayla's throat."I won't ask again, where is Yashmin?", I said .
"Here I am mom", I heard Yashmin answered. I lifted the blanket of darkness I placed over them and slowly released Kayla from my grasp.
"There you are?", I said as I embraced her into a hug.
Our reunion was cut short by the howling of a fox. It would seem while we were distracted Kayla had transformed and was about to attack.
I quickly pushed Yashmin out of the way as Kayla charged in our direction.
I braced myself for an attack that never came. As Yash was back infront of me. She had intercepted Kayla and was holding Kayla by her neck.
Her vampire speed was not to be underestimated. I didn't even see her restraining Kayla.
"Since you want to behave like an animal, I'll allow you to suffer like one", she said to the werefox as it whimpered.
"Let her go!", shouted the Dijnn as he went after Yashmin.
I quickly put myself between them and push him back. The very moment he fall back. He vanished into thin air.
"Quickly together, back to back", shouted Xena.
"What's happening? Where did he go?", I asked as we came together.
"Dijnns are invisible creatures, they are only seen when they allow us to or if one acquire their lamps. And even then they are only visible to the persons it owes three wishes. I doubt it's gone we need to prepare ourselves for an attack and watch each other's back", she said.
I heard Kayla's neck snapped as the animal's lifeless body fell on the floor.
Did my daughter just kill someone. I asked myself. As her face showed immense satisfaction and no remorse. She was proud of taking another person's life and that's when I knew she was changing in ways I couldn't understand."Focus Yashshauna!", I heard Xena said pulling me from my thoughts.
We stay still and quiet observing and waiting but he didn't attack.
The next saw we saw him. He was in tears kneel over Kayla's body.
"Let's go", Xena shouting as we ran from the clearing to the car.
Yashmin's POV
I hope that Dijnn learnt his lesson well. I must not be play with; for I am Yashmin McCleary Jones. Daughter of Yashshauna Mcleary Jones and Murron Jones. Granddaughter of Yashsena McMelon and John Mcleary.
Half ghost, half vampire and parts human. Play time is over. Welcome Yashmin; the force to be reckoned with.
