Yashmin's POV
Within seconds my dad grabbed hold of the man that held me by his neck with one hand and his other hand he used to tear his hand away from my neck.I fell to the ground as my dad, lifted the man into the air. As I crawled away from them, I heard the man panicking as he screamed for help.
My dad smiled in his faced as he ripped his hand from his body. He started to bleed out rapidly. My mom appoarched him in her shadow form and twisted his neck around. His body blackened immediately.
"He was mine", said my dad.
"According to the rules of marriage, what's yours is mine", she responded.
It was a rather strange time for dominance I thought to myself but obviously my parents was thinking other wise.
Beneath him laid a pool of blood. I covered my nose and closed my eyes, in an effort to resist. The last time my mom saw me this way, I could see the disappointment into her eyes. I never wanted to see that look again.
"Yash take my hand", she said and I did. Together we phased through Sarafena's tent. Dad joined us outside.
My mother sighed frustratedly as we stand before the tent, unsure of which direction to go.
"What's wrong?", asked my dad
"I can't find my dad", said my mother.
"And you are sure he is here", said my father.
"Yes he wouldn't leave his people without a fight.
"Let me help with that", he said as he pushed his hair away from his ears.
I saw him speed off in the direction of the McMelons. My mother and I followed behind him.
Muron's POV
When I got like I saw beings that look alot similar to my wife; with their differences being red eyes and hair. They were both men and female.......and trapped within a circle of what seemed to be salt crystals.
This other being present was rather extraordinary, his eyes were like a rainbow but an oceanic blue still stood out. His short hair mimick the colour of his eyes.
He fought off the men dressed in robes and crosses like they were nothing. He was lifting them up in the air without touching them. Picking them off one by one.
In entered my wife and child.
"Dad", she said, distracting him a little and that's when we realized a man on the floor had throw a buck of white liquid upon him. He groan in pain as he reverted back to his human form and fell to the ground.
The man took out one of the cross with a sharp end, I assumed to stab him. My wife froze up completely. My dad tried to pull her from it but i hadn't the time to waste, I ran up to him and bit into his neck.
My father-in-law eyes widen as he saw this. I wiped the blood away from my mouth into my sheleve after the man's body hit the floor.
My wife and daughter ran to him and he embraced them into a hug.
"Dad", she said. Granddad followed but his responses was limited to a smile. He looked weak as if he was about the leave the earthly plane.
I bit into my hands and held it up to his mouth. "What are you doing", asked my wife.
We left them them as they were and proceed
"Drink", I said to him and the minute he swallow the wounds previously inflicted on him was healed. He stood up without thanking me. Infact he acted as if I wasn't there at all.
"We must help the others", he said as he took his shadow form and phased through the house.
I broke the circle of salt around the being but they remained cuddled together in one spot.
We proceed to follow Yashshauna's dad. When we got where he was , he was with the old woman that appeared into our house seeking help.
She gave me judging look as if i was responsible for what was happening.
However the beings attacking were gone. Missing without a trace. But they two men I bit into tasted like familiar delicacy.
We watched as Yashshauna's Dad levitated into the air and sucked all the smoke into his nostrils.
The entire village was now free of smoke. Letting loose the smell of dead. It devastated him. The look on his face was unforgettable.
I was more astonished when I learnt. The smell of decaying flesh was coming from people with red, green and yellow eyes. Normally people wouldn't start to decay so quick but I guess they were actually people.
Yash mom, granddad along with remaining people took their dead and piled them together at the far end of the community, where they set them ablazed.
"Aaaaaaah", echoed a scream into the yard as I proceeded to help Yashshauna move a body.
"I thought you said she would be safe back at the house", I said to my wife as I recognized the voice to be that of our daughters.
Within seconds we both were there, I was unsure who was faster; me the vampire or her the ghost.
"It's coming from upstairs", said my wife as she phased through the ceiling.
I ran upstairs to see both my wife and daughter wailing over what seemed to be a dead body.
"Who is this?", I asked.
"Aunt Ci Ci", responded both of them.
Aunt Ci Ci her dad's sister was dead. This could of ended well or so I thought. When he came he closed her eyes and took her to be burned with the others.
He then called a meeting with the remaining population.
Yash's POV
My aunt was gone, this wasn't a hurt I was prepare to feel. This couldn't get any worst I thought to myself as I sat bowing my head.My granddad had called a meeting and for the first ever the council was allowing us to sit in on it.
I watched my granddad, Sarafena and the two others settled into their seat.
"Where is Monroe McMelon", asked my dad.
"He is now amongst the dead answered the head of the McIntosh."
My dad bowed his head in pain.
"Get his heir, we have no time to waste", spoke Sarafena.
"But this isn't how it's done", said the Melan McIntosh.
"In tines of war, protocols are broken", said my grand dad. "Take his heir, she must take her place."
Melan attempted to speak again but Sarafena wasn't having in. She repeated a chant and lightening struck him twice. "The chief has spoken, carry out his command or I will be forced to remove you from thus earthly plane.
Sarafena as always been impatient and judgemental, dusty, old and miserable but this side was one I have never seen.
I watched as Melan exited the room and returned with the new head. Wait that Melisa McMelon, Dew's mom. She was now the head of the family.
They all took their seats.
"Do anyone know who is responsible", asked my granddad.
The council members turned to face each other all except one.
"It was your son-in-law", she stated.
My mom's mouth felt open on the side lines. My dad stay quiet.
Chatter arise amongst the council. "Slience", shouted my granddad.
"Explain yourself Melisa McMelon", demanded my granddad.
"Don't pretend you don't know what he is, he may not have attacked us but we were perfectly safe. Until your daughter started decided dating. And what of her offspring. It is an abomination that is expected to lead us one day."
The hate that left her tongue sting deep.
