Yashshauna's POV

I woke up to see my dad face hanging over me and I felt relieved. I felt happy.

"I guess Sarafena didn't do it huh", I said.

"That's my girl", he responded as I took his hand and stood up.

It was then I recognized the familiar table. I was back infront the ancestors. The last time I was here they took my powers and one tried to kill me.

"Dad this means you are.......",

"Yes", he said interrupting me. "It's your time now. You are chief and I know you will make me proud."

"But why am I here?", I asked.

"For the officially ceremony", he said as he walked towards the table and it lit up.

Seated around it, i recognized both the members of my paternal and maternal lines. However one face seem to stood out.

"Who are you?", I asked him.

"Ssssssh!, that's F......" said my father before the man I didn't know interrupted.

"aith, hi am faith", he said.

"What kind of name is that for a man", I asked

"John what have you teach his child", said my mother covering her face in embarrassment.

"Yashseana that's fine", chuckled faith before he directed his attention back to me.

"Ever heard the phrase faith decides your destiny", he asked.

"Yes", I said.

"Well I am that faith and your destiny as been decided up on", he said.

"You mean you are actually faith, the faith", I asked him and he nodded confirming.

"But I never thought you were actually people", I said.

"Yes me, Destiny, badluck, Goodluck, Karma, etc all of us  are people. Speaking of karma, better not let she hear you say that. Karma is an actual bitch, take it  from me. And she knows how to carry a grudge", he said as he walked away from me. "Let's get on with it so I can leave. I have alot of places I need to be", he said.

He was tall, dressed in a full white suit. His voice was alluring and his tone comforting. His hair glowed beautiful. To see his eyes were to see two bright spot of white lights shrouded in mystery. You could try looking directly into them, but would eventually turn away automatically as I did ever so often; as I tried to discover his secret. Something about faith made you wanted to fall head over heels for him. But you know he would never go for you anyway.

"Would you please focus", said my mother pulling me from my thoughts.

"That's it we are done", said faith.

"Wait what?", I asked.

Faith smiled and snapped his fingers and the next thing I knew I was waking up in my house. Surrounded by my daughter and her father.

The first thing I remember was a conversation I never had with my dad. I guess he placed it there. The way he use to leave me mental notes.

The inserted conversation
I remember asking my dad how comes he was so comfortable and at ease with this changed.

He explain its because he knew it was coming. He asked me if I thought I was the only reason my mom and Grandma came through.  He said while they wanted to protect me.

Mom and grandma came also for him. "I knew I was done when your mom said the time was nearing." He said "It broke my heart and she saw it too. I wasn't ready to leave you. So instead of telling me, she changed the convo and left with my mom. Knowing eventually I would follow."

"Then Destiny came into play, she came to see me a day after I went home. I plead and I begged her. But she said it's the way things had to be. So I sat and I waited. I didn't know how I would go but I knew destiny would arrange it and that she did. I went by familiar hands, I'll tell you that but not Sara's.  Now be safe and make me proud", he said.
Inserted memory ends

Yashmin's POV
"Mom, your are awake", I said as I enclosed my arms around her.

"Sarafena didn't do it", I heard she say and she began crying.

"We know", I said.

"Don't worry mom, granddad is gone but you still have me", I said. "And dad", I added after he gave me a sour look.

"I know sweetheart and I am really lucky", she said as a knock erupted on our front door.

I opened the door and to my surprise, it wasn't somebody I knew but she had this familiarity I couldn't shake.

"May I come inside?", she said

"Who are you?", I asked her.

She gave a warm smile and then responded, "Hi, I am Xena-herra  daughter of Sarafena. I was send here by my mom to be in service of the new chieft."

That is it, my mom. Xena-Herra had the same exact blue eyes, that my mother had and resembled her from the forehead down to the nose.

"And you?", she asked pulling me from my thoughts.

"Sorry,  hi I am Yashmin. Daughter of the new chief. You may come inside", I told her.

She did just that and followed me in.

"Xena", said my mother as she hugged her.

"Shauna, I am so happy to see you", she said.

"Wait you know her?", I asked my mom.

"Yes Xena-Herra is Sarafena's daughter.  We grew up together before she was send away to be trained to carry her family's torch. She was my bestfriend then but we both had different destinies", my mom said.

"Shall we do it now?", asked my mother.

"Yes I'll much rather it that way, before we gather the others", responded Herra.

Mom always said it was a private moment when a chieft united with her witch. A ceremony of trust and one-ness.

I watched as Xena-Herra stand up and stretch out her hands towards mom. My mother then stand up and did the same.

The moment their hands met, they were both automatically transformed into ghost forms.

Xena-Herra hair, nails and eyes glowed a oceanic blue. Similar to that of my mom before she became chieft. My mother glowed with all the colors of the other families;  with only her hair expressing the true nature of the McClearies, mixed in with the coloured streaks of colours.

Their ghostly essences met above their bodies  momentarily before they went  directly into each other's body and then back into their own. They release their hands.

"Is it done?", asked my mom.

"It should be?", responded Xena.

"Let's try and see", said my mom.

As they held hands again but this time they formed into a familiar ball of light. Reminding me so much of grandpa and Sarafena. Then back to normal form.

In stormed Otter, Leona's uncle.

"Otter what are you doing here?", I asked him

"Help me!!, Sarafena is trying to kill me", he said.

Word from author

Is he for real? Who is this Otter and how dare him accused Sarafena of wanting to kill him and his pathetic little life.

For now. I'll leave my characters to ask the questions but is there any, you my readers would like to ask me.
