Yashshauna's POV
Sarafena as left and everyone in the family was hopeful excepted me. I just was not sure, Sarafena could do this. We all sat in the living room quietly. Hoping she would come through soon with Yashmin by her side.
We heard my front door opened. I jumped to my feet and ran to the door. Hoping with all my might that it was my husband.
"RayJay!", I shouted as I ran into his arms.
"It's been a while, since you called me that and if I am being honest I would preferred you stick to Murron", answered my husband in a cheery tone.
But Never-ending sadness stayed plastered over my face as I catched him up on everything he had miss, since he left rather abruptly.
"Sarafena will get it done", he said confidently when I finished telling him all that had happened.
"That's all you have to say?", I asked him.
"What else is there to say. I am trusting Sarafena. It's hard for you because you have always disliked the woman. The way you describe her to me and the perception in Yashmin's head.......which I know you planted there was far different from who she was. Dusty, old and miserable Sarafena you would always say. She is not very old or miserable. She is rather sweet and I know she can do it, I trust her", he said as he sat down waiting with the rest of us.
Sarafena's POV
As I entered the shadow realm, I stayed uneasiness and alert. As this wasn't a place to be comfortable, this wasn't a place to trust, this place was one made for war. I must be prepared to break couple necks, to curse some accursed souls and to pry Yashmin from the cold hands of a demon; which may try to cling to her soul.
Was I up to the task I could hear her mother's voice echoing in my head. Of course I was. I wish to see who will stand in the way of me bringing back the future chief. I'll bring down heaven and bring up hell, if needs be. I'll do any and everything to ensure her safety. To ensure my daughter recieve her charge alive and well when she takes over from me.
I found my self on a path of some kind. This was where I sensed her presence. It wasn't very strong but I know she was here. Along the sides of the path that seem to go on and on were many hands grasping on thin air.
Normally what would say be quiet, as quiet was safe. Noise here was stupid and unsafe. It could draw out creatures that only exist in one's imagination or nightmare.
But I didn't have a chance. Stupidity is what's needed. Unsafe I shall be. I will not fail I spoke out to myself.
"I beg to differ", said a voice from the shadows. I smiled ear to ear before I turned to face its direction.
"Who are you?", I asked. I didn't expect it to actually say who it was. But this would shed some light as to who I was dealing with. Since it answered and found me, I already knew It wasn't just any spirit. But one of a demon. Witches are and have always been detectable by them. If it's a low ranking demon it will reveal it's name. These are easy to defeat, they are cocky and lacking in skills.
"I am who I am and what I am, is who I am", it said. Then and there I know it was a high ranking demon. They spoke in riddles to distract and cause turmoil within your head. They will never just reveal their names because it weakens them.
Firstly I laughed the witches laugh. So he too knew, he wasn't dealing with just any witch. "You speak so highly of yourself but I know before me speaks the voice of a mere servant", I said hoping to provoke it enough for it to reveal its location.
"A servant she say, who are you to speak to I, this way", it said as it appeared infront of me.
When I behold its face, I wished I hadn't forced it to appear to me. As it was what children nightmares was made of. It was the ugliest, ugly, that as evered uglied. I was so startled, I held on to my chest. But I couldn't let it see that it's appearance had any effect on me.
