Asylum

Yashmin's POV

We made our way home and I hurried next door to speak to Leona. Knowing she would be upset with me.

I knocked at her door. "Who is that?", I heard her asked. "It's me", I said.

"Yash are you kidding me", she said. "You promise me, you would follow me to see my mother at the asylum", she said whispering.
"BUT THEN YOU DIDN'T COME BACK UNTIL NOW!!!!", she shouted. "One full day after you made a promise, I am starting to think my mom is right about you. Yash you have changed significantly and I don't think it's for the best", she said as she closed the door in my face.

"Lee girl,  am sorry. So much as been happening to me and am sorry I have not been around much for you. But you still are my best friend", I said to her. "Forgive me please", I plead.

"I will if you tell me what's been happening that's keeping you away from me", she said.

"I want to Lee, believe me I do. But you wouldn't understand or believe me. And to be honest, it's not mines alone to tell."

"Well Yash I guess you have your answer about forgiveness too."

Slience filled the space around us for five minutes and then I spoke again.

"You do know I have my jacket now right?", I said.

She opened the door and asked, "now!"

"Yes let's go now so we can be back in time for dinner and no questions asked", I said confirming her suspicions.

"But how will be get there", she asked.

"I still have that money, I was to use while shopping. We can just take the bus to town and then another or a taxi to the asylum", I said.

"Ok!", she said as she smiled from ear to ear and that's when I knew I had my friend back.

She grabbed her jacket and we made our to  catch a bus.

Yashshauna's POV
Phone ringing
Call answered

Murron: hi my darling. How are you?

Yashshauna: am ok but when are you coming home. I am tired and I miss you. Yashmin's birthday is a day away.

Murron: Yes I'll be there early in the morning. I am taking my mother and father with me as well. As there is something we must discussed with you.

Yashshauna: Murron, I don't want that man in my house.

Murron: He is coming to apologize darling. My dad is ill. He isn't even suppose to be traveling so far from his home but after I told him. I didn't like how he spoke to you. He agree he was too harsh and promise to apologize if you will have him.

Yashshauna: mmmm Murron I just don't know.

Murron: Don't you love me?

Yashshauna: yes of course  I do.

Murron: Well do this for me. See you then. And Yashshauna please prepare the three guest rooms. One for my parents and the other for my Dad's doctor and one for Maxwell. Amd darling I love you so much.

Yashmin's POV

We followed the steps I had layed out previously and within a hour, we were there.

We went to the front desk where we met the desk clerk.

"Hi , I am here to see my mom", said Leona.

"Good morning!", said the desk clerk with a frown on her face.

"Good morning. I apologize on my friends behalf. I am Yashmin.  This is Leona and we are here to see her mom", I said. Trying to salvage an already broken relationship.

The desk clerk then proceeded to ask for her name and when we did give her name. She said she didn't have a patient there by that name.

"Impossible", shouted Leona. "I took her here myself,  along with her friend", Leona said.

Again the desk clerk repeated the same thing. Leona started to throw, a tantrum. As I tried to calm her down .

A man at the end of the hallway heard and intervened. He provided us with prove and we left, to catch a bus to return home.

"I don't understand Yashmin, where could mom be? They say she was discharged in the evening on the same day of admission; why? No body can heal and recover from a psychotic break so fast. And if she isn't here why hasn't she come home", she asked me.

"I wished I knew, Lee. I wish I could answer these questions for you", I said to her as I embraced her in a warn hug and we proceeded home.

Back home

Leona cried all the way home. I hurriedly followed her to her front door and was about to bid her farewell; before my mom ensured my farewell to the world.

But then we heard a voice inside, that sound so much like her mom. We knocked and the door open.

"There you are now", said Leona's mom.

Leona  looked at me, "but......but....but", she said as she furrowed her brows.

"Don't you miss me", her mom asked as she forces Leona into a hug.

I was interested to know what was going on too but I couldn't stop to enquire in this moment. I had to get her.

I made my way across the street and climb into my room through a window. The minute I step inside and closed the window.
The light switch made a noise and my room lit up.

I looked at my mom's frowning face and was about to explain myself but then she intervened.

"Yashmin save it. From this moment forth, you are grounded", she said.

"Grounded until when, remember my birthday is in a one day. I can't be grounded", I said.

"Well you are, straight into your birthday. You should of thought of that. Before going out right after you were captured;  Xena and I, had to come rescue you. And here you are sneaking out soon after. Grounded until I decide when!!!!", she said in an angry tone as she walked away.

"Actually I rescued myself, you and Xena", I mumbled under my breath.

"What is that Yash?", she asked turning around.

"Nothing mom, just was saying  how  sorry I am", I responded.
