Fatima took the talk with her mother to heart. After breakfast she went home to change clothes before spending a family day with Zachary.
When she got back she found Danni and Cane there. Zachary was holding Karter in one hand playing the game with the other.
Fatima: Hey sis, hey nephew.
Cane didn't speak he was paying too much attention to the game.
Fatima: See, babe, this is why I didn't want you to bring the game on vacation. He can't even look away, turn it off.
Danni: That's the same thing I said.
Cane: Nooo, Hi Ti Ti.
Fatima: That was a little dry but I'll take it. Sis, how long have you been here?
Danni: Not long, about 20 mins. I came to get MY baby but Zachary being a baby hog. Look how he got both of my boys stuck to his ass.
Zachary: Aww don't be mad sis. I told you Tima be hogging him from me so I have to get my time in when she's gone.
Fatima was drying her hands already reaching for him as Zachary was speaking.
Fatima: You got that right, gone hand him here.
Zachary handed him over and kissed her until Cane started getting grossed out.
Cane: Yuck, come on uncle Zach. Play!
Zachary: Nephew remember to always address a woman especially your woman, mom or grandma anytime they walk in a room, you got it?
Cane: I got it, my daddy told me that and also to always open doors and say they're pretty because they like that.
Zachary: That's right, nephew. We gone play for another 15 minutes, then I gotta go play with your auntie for a minute.
Danni and Tima: ZACH!!
Zachary: My bad my bad I mean I'm taking your Titi out on a playdate. Yall chill out, he knew what I meant.
Tima: Whatever, just hurry up so we can enjoy some family time before it gets too late.
Danni and Tima went in the room to talk and so she could breastfeed the baby.
Danni: How was breakfast sis, did you and Ma talk?
Tima: Yeah, I told her I'd get a second opinion about the whole post pardum thing but I think I'm fine.
Danni: You're going to be fine either way, if its not postpardum then it could just be stress. I mean you are mourning your pops.
Tima: Don't say that too loud, Zachary and I don't need another discussion about my inability to "just get over it"
Danni: I see both sides of it. Niko is trying to act completely unaffected and it is starting to cause us to bicker more than usual. I'm trying to give him space and be there for him at the same time.
Tima: I bet that's what Zachary thinks.
Danni: What?
Tima: That he is giving me space and being there when really he just getting on my nerves. You might just be getting on his nerves.
Danni: Good, I hope I am because he stays on mine. All of yall do, except for my boys. They rest of yall stay tapping on my nerves.
Tima: You wouldn't trade a minute of it.
Danni: Not one second. Oh I forgot to tell you Niko and Tracy are fighting over custody of Cane.
Fatima: What? Why, is something going on with Tracy?
Danni: He doesn't listen to her and he don't like her boyfriend.
Fatima: That doesn't sound right. Did Cane say that?
Danni: Niko asked if he wanted to stay with us more and he said yeah. I asked if anything was going on at home. He said it's boring but that's it. I had to be careful not to keep pressing him but I don't think Tracy is mistreating him. I think it's because he lost Nick but he wouldn't admit it even if it's true.
Fatima: Hell no he wouldn't. I'll have Zac talk to Cane just to make sure. He is about to be upset because I'm sleepy from that breakfast with mommy.
Danni: Take a nap sis, I got them.
Fatima: Thank you sis.
When Fatima woke up from her nap an hour later Zachary was watching sports with the baby asleep in the bassinet.
Zachary: Hey baby, how was your nap?
Fatima: It was good, can you help me shower? I still want to go to town.
Zachary: Of course I can.
Zachary ran about 3 inches of hot water into the tub. He had her stand in it for 5 minutes to help with her blood flow and headaches.
He then started her shower with more hot water than cold but not as hot as she preferred it. He washed her up being extra delicate with her center making sure not to cause her any additional pain.
Fatima: I love how you take care of me.
Zachary: I love that you let me.
Fatima wore her hair natural with a cute ankle length peach floral Maxi dress. Zachary and Karter were dressed a like in peach t-shirt and kaki bottoms.
They spent the afternoon out shopping, talking, and planning there future together. Zachary wanted them to find a house together then he would purpose to her.
She wasn't rushing an engagement, she is happy taking life one step at a time.
The trip was over soon as it started but it did serve it's purpose. Fatima felt more relaxed and was looking forward to taking steps to feel better.
We were all in a family car headed to Monet home to go our separate ways. I could see police lights from a block away. The police immediately cuffed Niko charging him with custodial kidnapping for taking Cane out without Tracy's permission.
Danni and Tracy was arguing back and forth. Tracy was strapping Cane into the backseat of her car. Her boyfriend was just watching and so was Zachary.
The police pulled of with Niko in one direction, a car came creeping up the block in the other direction. Zachary yelled for everybody to get down before bullets started flying towards the family.
Zachary wasn't sure if he hit anyone in the car but he made sure to shoot Tracy's boyfriend. He could tell it was a set up.
Time stood still.
I hear Danni yelling that HE got hit and to call the police.
Who got hit?
Fatima immediately searches for Cane, she saw Tracy shielding him. He wasn't him. She knew Karter was safe and it COULDN'T be Zachary.
Fatima: Zachary? ZACHARYYYY!
Zachary: I'm hit babe, I'm hit.
