CHAPTER 65: Whispers of Hope
As Hawks stood on the outskirts of the makeshift prison facility, he watched the defeated villains-Mummy, Chimera, and Slice-being led away in handcuffs. The tension in the air lingered like an unshakable weight, even as the heroes began to regroup and assess the damage done to Nabu Island. His gaze drifted toward the horizon, where the ocean met the sky, a deep blue hue contrasting with the chaos that had unfolded. The fight against Nine had taken its toll on everyone, and yet, the shadows of greater threats loomed over him.
Hawks couldn't shake the feeling that this was only the beginning. "What does Tomura Shigaraki have planned?" he pondered aloud, his thoughts racing. The last encounter with Nine had felt like a warning, a reminder of the dangers lurking in the shadows.

Meanwhile, far from the chaos of Nabu Island, Nine found himself blasted away to a remote isle surrounded by vibrant flowers, a stark contrast to the destruction he had wrought. Wounded and weakened, he lay among the petals, struggling to comprehend his defeat. Suddenly, the air shimmered, and Tomura Shigaraki materialized before him, his expression unreadable.
"You're in no shape to be making plans, Nine," Tomura said coolly, surveying the fallen villain. Nine reached out, desperation coloring his voice. "I haven't perfected the society yet. I need more time. We need someone to guide everyone-"
But Tomura silenced him with a chilling gaze. He placed a hand on Nine's face, a twisted promise forming on his lips. "I'll take over the world you so desperately envisioned," he whispered, "but first..." His Decay Quirk surged, enveloping Nine in a shroud of destruction. The once ambitious villain crumbled to dust, leaving nothing but the haunting memory of his shattered dreams. With a final glance at the island of flowers, Tomura vanished, leaving behind a silence that echoed the finality of Nine's downfall.

Back on Nabu Island, Class 1-A is slowly recovering from the battle. The air is charged with the vibrant energy of youth as you and your classmates work diligently to repair the damage done. Days blur into a rhythm of hard work and camaraderie, and as you start to feel the weight of hope returning, the Public Safety Commission arrives with disheartening news: the program is suspended, and you're all ordered to return home.
Gathered on the dock, preparing to board the ferry, you can feel the mixture of emotions swirling among your classmates. Izuku approaches Katsuki, who has been unusually quiet since the fight. "How are you feeling?" Izuku asks, concern etched on his face. Katsuki shrugs, frustration evident. "I... don't remember much after the fight. Just flashes. It's frustrating."
"Just take it one step at a time," Izuku reassures him. "You'll recover."
Katsuma and Mahoro, recently reunited with their father, approach Class 1-A. The siblings' faces radiate gratitude as they look up at you and your classmates. "Thank you for protecting us and saving the island!" Katsuma exclaims, determination shining in his eyes. "I'll get stronger! I promise!"
You smile at him, your heart swelling with pride. "You can become a hero, Katsuma. I'll be waiting for you at U.A. High School," you encourage him, hoping to inspire him just as you've been inspired.
As the ferry prepares to depart, you feel an urge rising in your chest—one you can’t ignore. After everything that happened, after everything you felt... you needed to talk to him.
Heart racing, you take a deep breath and walk toward him. He’s standing near the railing, wind ruffling his already-messy hair, his gaze focused on the receding shoreline.
“Midoriya,” you call softly.
He turns instantly, green eyes brightening the moment they meet yours. “Mizushima,” he says, surprised but warm. “Everything okay?”
