CHAPTER 33: Threads of Darkness and Light

In the dimly lit hideout of the League of Villains, Tomura Shigaraki paced back and forth, his eyes narrow with irritation. He barely glanced at the two new recruits as his fingers twitched in agitation.

"Kurogiri," he muttered, shooting an irritated glance toward the misty figure. "Get these 'recruits' out of here. One's a brat, and the other one is way too smug for his own good."

Kurogiri, accustomed to Tomura's temper, kept his tone calm. "Tomura, please consider carefully. Giran brought them to us. We need more strength in our ranks, especially after the attention Stain has drawn to us."

Giran leaned back against the wall, watching with amusement as he lit a cigarette. "Relax, Tomura. These two could be useful, and hey, if they're not, at least I'll get my commission," he said with a chuckle. "But let me introduce them properly before you make any decisions."

Tomura crossed his arms, tapping his fingers impatiently as Giran introduced the recruits.

Giran motioned to the first recruit, a young girl with a disturbingly cheerful smile. "This is Himiko Toga," he began. "A rogue criminal, wanted in connection to a few... unusual deaths. She's expressed an interest in joining us because of her admiration for Stain."

Toga giggled, her eyes wide with excitement. "Stain is so inspiring! I just can't wait to be a part of this League!" She shifted her gaze to Tomura, flashing a grin that was both innocent and unsettling. "Don't you think heroes should bleed a little more?"

Tomura grimaced, a spark of frustration crossing his face. "Another Stain follower...," he muttered, rolling his eyes.

Giran smirked and gestured toward the second recruit, a tall, dark-haired man who observed the room with a cold, calculating gaze. "And this here is Dabi. He hasn't committed any flashy crimes, but he shares Stain's ideology and is looking for a place to make his mark."

Dabi returned Tomura's gaze evenly. "I'll follow Stain's will," he said coolly, but there was a challenge in his eyes as he met Tomura's. "But I have my doubts about this so-called 'League.' Are you really worth following?"

Tomura's irritation boiled over, and his fingers twitched with the desire to grab Dabi and disintegrate him on the spot. "I'm tired of everyone being obsessed with Stain," he snarled, stepping toward the new recruits with a dark glint in his eyes. "This is my League, not some fan club."

Before he could lash out, Kurogiri stepped between them, his quirk swirling with a quiet authority. "Enough, Tomura," he said firmly, separating the would-be combatants. "We cannot afford to turn on each other. Stain has drawn attention to us, and this is our chance to gain allies. We need them."

Watching from the corner, Hydrax let out a long, exaggerated sigh. Her bored expression masked the sharp calculation in her eyes as she watched Tomura. Typical behavior for him, she thought to herself. But Kurogiri caught her eye, giving her a subtle nod, a silent request for her to follow and ensure Tomura didn't do anything reckless.

She rolled her eyes, muttering under her breath, but finally nodded in agreement. "Fine," she said, pushing off the wall. "But only because I don't want him ruining things yet." She walked out after him, her footsteps steady and silent.

Meanwhile, back at U.A. High, Class 1-A waited with bated breath in homeroom. The air was thick with tension as the students waited to hear if they'd all passed the finals. The recent exams had pushed everyone to their limits, and the threat of failure loomed over them. Whispers filled the room as students exchanged nervous glances.
