CHAPTER 107: The Crucible of Heroes

Japan’s current state was dire—Shigaraki—All For One, and their army of chaos had left the country in ruins, with little hope of respite. But amidst the darkness, there was a spark of defiance. America’s Number 1 Hero, Star and Stripe, had taken to the skies to stand against Shigaraki, knowing the immense cost her actions might bring.

The battle began as Star and her comrades intercepted Shigaraki riding a massive Nomu. Her voice carried over the roaring winds, steady and unyielding.

“Let’s show him what it means to stand against us!” she declared.

Shigaraki, or the warped amalgamation of his consciousness with All For One, lunged toward her, his Decay reaching out like an unrelenting tide. Star reacted swiftly, touching the air itself and activating her Quirk.

“New Order: The air within this zone shall not move.”

The atmosphere around them froze in place, locking Shigaraki mid-attack. He gritted his teeth, his body trembling as he fought against the enforced rule.

“Impressive,” he sneered, his voice laced with malice, “but not enough.”

He unleashed a wave of destruction, forcing Star to release her hold and evade. As her comrades provided covering fire from their jets, she countered by crafting a massive construct from the air—a colossal form of herself wielding a laser sword.

“Prepare for Tiamat!” she ordered her team, who began aligning their guided missiles for an all-out strike.

The clash was ferocious. Shigaraki, with his body incomplete and his mind fractured, struggled against her overwhelming power, but his determination to steal New Order drove him forward. The Tiamat missiles struck with devastating force, the explosions illuminating the darkened ocean below.

For a moment, it seemed as though victory was in their grasp. But as the smoke cleared, Shigaraki emerged, battered but alive. He surged forward, evading the jets and reaching Star before she could react.

His hand gripped her face. The air crackled with tension as Star’s comrades shouted in desperation.

“New Order is mine,” Shigaraki growled.

Star gritted her teeth, her body already succumbing to Decay. But before the Quirk could fully leave her grasp, she made one final declaration.

“New Order: This Quirk shall rebel against all others.”

Within Shigaraki’s mind, chaos erupted. The vestige of Star fought fiercely, tearing apart his Quirks from within and destroying several of them in the process. Shigaraki’s body convulsed, his screams echoing through the sky as he desperately fled the battlefield.

Star’s body crumbled away, but her resolve remained unbroken. With a final salute to her comrades, she whispered, “Thank you, All Might. I lived my dream.”
