CHAPTER 38: The Summer Camp and the Brewing Storm

The League of Villains' hideout buzzed with a dark energy as Tomura paced with a sly grin. Kurogiri watched him with wary approval, while Hydrax stood in silent confidence, her icy gaze sharper than ever.

"All For One has already pinpointed their destination," Tomura announced, his voice dripping with excitement. "U.A. High's little heroes will be at a summer training camp in the middle of nowhere. Isolated, far from backup."

Kurogiri nodded, his misty presence a calm contrast to Tomura's eagerness. "This will give us the upper hand. The teachers won't be able to respond as quickly."

Beside them, Hydrax's mind was elsewhere, though she was nodding. The mere thought of confronting her sister sent a spark through her veins, something she hadn't felt in years. It was time for her younger sibling to understand what strength truly meant, even if it was twisted and ruthless. Tomura noticed the intensity on her face, nodding approvingly, as Giran entered the room, bringing an air of expectation.

"The union approved your request, Tomura," Giran said with a crooked grin. "They're eager to see what you'll accomplish. The League is poised to become more than a sideshow. If you succeed, you'll be at the forefront, leading the next generation of villains."

With that, Giran left, and the room fell into silence as Tomura, Kurogiri, and Hydrax processed the words. Tomura's eyes gleamed with determination as he looked at his allies. "Then it's time we remind the world why they should be afraid of us. Let the games begin."

At U.A. High, summer break finally arrived, and Class 1-A was buzzing with excitement. The thought of the camp was exhilarating to most of them-especially to you. After hearing that the training camp would push everyone's Quirks to their limits, you felt a familiar rush, a craving to show just how far you'd come.

With your bag packed, you caught Midoriya's eye and smiled. "I'm beyond ready for camp!"

Midoriya’s grin mirrored yours, though his voice carried a teasing lilt. "Beyond ready, huh? I hope that means you’re planning to show off all your new moves."

Your cheeks warmed instantly, the memory of Mina teasing you back at the pool flashing in your mind. "I-I mean… camp, camping… you know, the usual stuff," you stammered, waving vaguely with one hand as you tried to act casual, hoping he wouldn’t notice your blush.

Midoriya tilted his head, curiosity sparkling in his eyes. "The usual stuff? That doesn’t sound like you. You’ve been practicing nonstop."

You bit your lip, heart racing. "Well… maybe I just want to… keep up. With, um… everything," you murmured, the memory of Mina’s smirk still lingering.

He leaned a little closer, his voice soft but teasing. "Everything? Are you talking about me… or the other challenges?"

You turned slightly, flustered, and laughed nervously. "Both! Definitely both."

Midoriya chuckled, shaking his head. "I’ll hold you to that. No slacking off this time."

You smirked faintly, brushing a strand of hair behind your ear. "I wouldn’t dream of it. But… you better keep up too, Midoriya."

He straightened with mock determination. "Oh, don’t worry—I’m not planning on falling behind."

While your classmates boarded the bus, Monoma and his fellow Class 1-B students made an appearance, taunting Class 1-A about their failures in the final exams. Before things could escalate, Kendo gave Monoma a swift chop to the back of the head, muttering apologies as she dragged him away. Mineta watched with delight as the girls of Class 1-B boarded their own bus, already looking forward to what he called "opportunities." Aizawa gave a tired sigh, leaning back in his seat as he reminded everyone to focus.
