CHAPTER 80: When Classes Collide
The atmosphere buzzed with anticipation as students from Class 1-A and Class 1-B gathered at the training grounds for the highly anticipated joint training arc. Today marked a significant event—a test of skills, teamwork, and strategy—as they prepared to face off against one another in simulated combat scenarios. The sun shone brightly, casting a warm glow on the expansive training area, filled with various obstacles and challenges meant to test each student's abilities.
As you stood among your classmates, you noticed a familiar figure approach the gathering. Hitoshi Shinso, a recent transfer from General Studies to Class 1-A, joined your group, his expression as serious as ever. “I hope you all are ready for this. I’ll be doing my best out there,” he said, his voice steady and confident, hinting at the determination he carried with him.
“I’m sure you will, Shinso! We’re lucky to have you on our team!” Izuku replied, his usual enthusiasm shining through.
“I appreciate it,” Shinso replied, a faint smirk breaking his otherwise serious demeanor.
Excitement mixed with a touch of nervousness filled the air as instructors began to outline the day's objectives. The joint exercise was not only an opportunity to showcase each student’s quirk but also a chance to demonstrate their ability to work as a cohesive unit.
As the instructors introduced the teams, you listened intently. “Today, we will be dividing into mixed teams. Each group will consist of students from Class 1-A and Class 1-B. You will face various challenges designed to test your abilities and teamwork.”
Your gaze sharpened as the first team was announced: Team A, consisting of Koji Koda, Denki Kaminari, Tsuyu Asui, Eijiro Kirishima, and Hitoshi Shinso from Class A. Facing them from Class B were Jurota Shishida, Hiryu Rin, Kosei Tsuburaba, and Ibara Shiozaki.
“Wow, that’s a strong team,” you murmured, watching as the students gathered for their first exercise.
“Yeah, Koda’s strength will be crucial,” Izuku noted, nodding in agreement. “And Kirishima can really hold his own in a fight.”
“Let’s not underestimate Class B, though. They’ve got some talented quirks too,” you added, your analytical side kicking in.
As the teams assembled, you observed Koji’s group as they huddled together, discussing their plan. Denki’s energetic demeanor was infectious, and even Tsuyu offered her insights, her analytical nature shining through as she pointed out the strengths and weaknesses of Class B.
“Alright, guys! We need to work together and create a plan that utilizes all of our quirks effectively,” Eijiro urged, his enthusiasm driving the conversation forward.
“Right!” Koji replied, nodding earnestly. “We can use my quirk to create a distraction while Denki and Tsuyu attack from a distance.”
“I can help with that,” Hitoshi interjected, his voice calm but firm. “If I can get them to listen to me, I can control their actions for a moment. That’ll give us an edge.”
“Great idea, Shinso!” Denki replied, excitement lighting up his face. “If you can distract them, we’ll have a clear shot!”
Across from them, Jurota wasted no time, using his quirk to create shockwaves that echoed through the course, trying to throw off Class A’s rhythm. Hiryu utilized his wind manipulation, creating gusts that helped his teammates gain momentum as they raced through the course. Kosei began creating walls of stone to block Class A’s path, testing their ability to adapt.
