CHAPTER 119: The Symbol's Last Light

The fortress groaned beneath its own ruin. Steel warped and screamed, bending inward like dying titans as shockwaves rippled through the crumbling structure. The sky outside was aflame-a bruised orange bleeding into black, clouds torn apart by the sheer weight of power colliding in the distance. Every flash illuminated the battlefield below like the heartbeat of a dying world.

The last of the Twice Doubles flickered and dissipated into gray wisps, scattering like smoke carried off by a violent wind. For a fleeting moment, the air was still-too still-before the comms erupted with static.

Naomasa's voice crackled sharply through the comms, cutting through the chaos.
"All For One is within warp range of Shigaraki. He's initiating the transfer."

The words struck like a gunshot.

All Might, bloodied and half-crushed within the remnants of his armor, forced himself to move. Every motion was agony-metal groaned against bone, blood ran down his temple in thin rivers-but his spirit refused to die.

He pushed himself upright, one trembling hand clawing at the debris for balance. His voice, though rough and strained, still carried the same unyielding conviction that had once ignited hope in millions.

"Shigaraki!" His voice broke through the storm, raw and desperate. "Don't let him take you! Fight it-don't you dare give in!"

The words echoed through the empty halls before being drowned beneath the sound of collapsing walls. His plea vanished into the chaos, but he didn't need an answer to know someone had heard him.

Beneath the fractured remains of the fortress, amid twisted steel and shards of concrete, you lay unmoving. The world around you bled in and out of focus-flashes of red, silver, and black. Every breath dragged across your ribs like knives. You were dimly aware of your heartbeat, steady but faint, pulsing like a distant drum.

The air around you shimmered. Droplets of moisture hovered in the space above your skin, trembling as if caught between life and death. They glowed faintly, reacting to something-no, someone-far away.

Izuku.

Every surge of power that rippled from him sent vibrations through the water particles around you, each one resonating with your own energy. You couldn't see him, but you felt him-his exhaustion, his fear, his relentless determination burning against the dark.

A faint warmth pressed against your chest. Edgeshot's energy-thin golden threads stitched across your body like a fragile web of light-still pulsed faintly, each strand anchoring you to this side of consciousness. His sacrifice lingered, soft but unyielding.

You weren't awake. Not yet. But something deeper than thought-the echo of instinct-whispered through you. Get up.

"...you're still breathing."

The voice came low, rough, laced with relief he'd never admit.

Katsuki crouched beside you, body trembling with effort. His uniform was in tatters, scorched and shredded from countless blows. Blood streaked across his jaw, one eye partially swollen shut. But his expression burned with the same raw defiance that had always set him apart.

He brushed aside debris with his good arm, muttering under his breath as he uncovered your shoulder.
"You really think I'm letting you die before me? Pathetic."

His tone was sharp, almost biting-but his hands betrayed him. Careful. Controlled. He adjusted your position with precision, making sure no weight pressed against your ribs, his jaw tightening as he watched the faint shimmer of water curling around your fingertips.
