CHAPTER 102: Rogue Waters, Broken Flames
The battlefield is pure upheaval—torn ground, splintered skies, and the constant tremor of power clashing. Shigaraki stands at its center, a force of raw decay. Buildings crumble in his wake, the air itself distorting with the sheer weight of his presence.
But his focus is singular.
Izuku.
With One For All exposed, the battle has become a hunt—and Shigaraki is the predator.
“Stay still, Midoriya!” he snarls, his voice ragged with obsession. His hand lunges forward, fingers inches from Izuku’s face—crackling with that sickening energy that unravels everything it touches.
But Izuku is faster.
Sharper.
Lightning-green energy surges around him—Blackwhip snapping through the air, Float keeping him just out of reach. He weaves through the destruction, every motion honed by instinct and desperation.
“You want this power?” Izuku shouts, teeth gritted as he swings forward with a charged blow. “Then earn it! You don’t get to destroy everything and call it justice!”
Shigaraki catches the punch with a jarring thud, the force pushing him back a step—but his grin only widens, wild and hollow.
“Justice?” he scoffs. “Justice died with your heroes. Power isn’t earned, Midoriya—it’s taken.”
He surges forward, decay trailing behind him like a cloak of rot.
Izuku’s heart pounds, but he doesn't falter.
Not with everyone counting on him.
Not now.

Elsewhere, your battle with Hydrax rages.
Water whips violently between you, colliding in brutal bursts—each clash a storm unto itself. Her corrupted quirk warps the flow, twisting it into jagged, unnatural shapes that surge with pulsing darkness. It’s not just water anymore. It’s her hatred made real.
“Stop fighting me, Y/N!” Yumi snaps, her voice cracking beneath the weight of anger and something deeper—wounded pain. “You’re just delaying the inevitable. Heroes can’t save anyone!”
You slam your palm down, summoning a defensive wall that deflects her attack in a crashing arc. “I don’t believe that, Yumi! Heroes saved me—saved us! You’re wrong. There’s still hope!”
Her eyes sharpen, cold and final.
“Hope is a lie,” she spits. “It always has been.”
With a sharp motion, she hurls a tidal wave of corrupted water straight at you. You dive aside just in time, the wave demolishing the ground behind you with a deafening crash. Grit and blood sting your skin. Exhaustion claws at your muscles.
But you stay standing.
From the corner of your eye, you catch another battle blazing nearby—Shoto against Dabi. Their clash sends shockwaves through the air. Shoto’s ice carves in fierce arcs, only to be consumed by Dabi’s hellish blue fire. Steam, ash, and fury swirl between them.
“You don’t know the first thing about being a hero, Shoto!” Dabi roars. “You’re just a pawn in his game—just like I was!”
“That’s not true!” Shoto shouts back, frost biting at the flames. “You could’ve come back, Touya. You still can!”
“Stop calling me that!” Dabi’s scream is unhinged—followed by a surge of blue fire that floods the space around them, consuming steel and stone alike.
