CHAPTER 45: Confrontation and Revelation
The dimly lit room felt like a tomb, each flickering shadow pressing down on you as you stood amid the chaos of the League of Villains’ hideout. Your heart raced as you watched the broadcast of your teachers rallying for Bakugo and you on live television. The sight unsettled you deeply, an emotional storm brewing within as Bakugo's defiance shone through; he smirked, his voice dripping with disdain as he addressed the villains.
“You think I’d ever join you? U.A. knows exactly who I am. I’ll never fight for you.”
His words echoed in the room, filled with an unwavering conviction that contrasted sharply with the turmoil raging inside you. You felt a suffocating dread creep over you, overshadowing the admiration you had for Bakugo's courage. Turning away from the screen, you faced Hydrax—the sister you had believed to be lost forever. A tempest of emotions twisted within you, a thousand questions clawing at your heart, each one sharper than the last.
“Why didn’t you come back?” you finally managed to ask, your voice trembling as you fought against the flood of emotions threatening to consume you. “Why would you leave me? Leave… us?”
Hydrax met your gaze, but the eyes that once radiated warmth and love were now cold and unrecognizable. The comfort you had craved vanished, replaced by a chilling disdain. “I don’t care about you or our family, Y/N,” she sneered, each word a dagger that pierced your heart. “All I want now is to watch it all fall apart.”
The pain of her words struck you harder than you could have anticipated. You wanted to believe that beneath the surface, some part of Yumi still existed—some trace of the sister you had loved and missed. But the venom in her tone shattered that hope, piece by painful piece. You took a step back, the world around you fading as despair wrapped around your heart like a vice. The sister you once knew was gone, replaced by a figure shrouded in darkness.

Far away at U.A., your teachers convened in a conference room, urgency crackling in the air. They discussed their next steps to rescue you and Bakugo, tension evident on every face. Endeavor leaned against the wall, arms crossed, a frown etched deep on his forehead. “Isn’t this a job for the police?” he questioned, his irritation palpable.
Best Jeanist shot him a withering look, disappointment written across his features. “You’re a U.A. alumnus, Endeavor. Show some loyalty to your roots.”
Detective Tsukauchi, with his usual steady demeanor, laid out the plan. “The media has scrutinized U.A. too much. We can’t involve the teachers directly, but with a few pro-heroes from outside the faculty, we have a chance to catch the villains off-guard.”
Tiger clenched his fists, determination radiating from him like a beacon. “This is our chance to rescue Ragdoll and the students. We can’t mess this up. They’re counting on us.”
Detective Tsukauchi nodded, his gaze sharp. “We believe the villains are split between two hideouts. Nezu’s statements to the press were meant to mislead them, so they won’t see this attack coming.”
With resolve hardening their features, the pro-heroes prepared for a mission that would change everything—a chance to save you, to confront the darkness threatening to engulf you both.
---
As the Hideout Raid team arrived at the League’s hideout, the air was thick with tension and anticipation. Mt. Lady squinted at the building, her skepticism evident. “This seems almost… too easy?” she murmured, her instincts alert.
Best Jeanist shook his head, his expression serious. “Everyone has a role. Stay focused. We cannot underestimate the villains.”
Meanwhile, Midoriya and his team took their positions outside a secondary building, nerves running high. They crept around to the back and peered inside through a broken window. Horror washed over them as they spotted the Nomu factory.
“They’re… breeding Nomus here?” Midoriya whispered, disbelief staining his voice, a chilling realization settling in.
Kirishima swallowed hard, his usual bravado wavering as he gripped his fists tightly. “We’ll be ready for anything… right?” His voice trembled, a blend of fear and determination as he glanced at Midoriya, seeking reassurance.

Back in the hideout, the atmosphere grew tense as Shigaraki ordered Kurogiri and Mr. Compress to restrain you and Bakugo. The air crackled with anticipation, each heartbeat echoing in your ears. Just then, a loud crash reverberated through the room—All Might smashed through a wall, his eyes blazing with fury, radiating an aura of hope amid the chaos.
“Not on my watch!” he roared, a titan among heroes.
Kurogiri attempted to open a warp gate, but Kamui Woods intervened, his wooden binds wrapping around the villains with an unyielding grip. Dabi, fueled by rage, tried to incinerate the bindings, but Gran Torino swooped in, landing a swift kick that sent Dabi crashing to the ground.
The room transformed into a whirlwind of action as heroes flooded in, each one neutralizing a villain with precision and skill. Amid the chaos, relief washed over you like a tide when you spotted your mother, Aiko, rushing into the room. Her eyes were wide with worry, panic etched across her features as she called your name, voice choked with emotion. “Y/N!”
Just as you thought safety was within reach, a mocking voice sneered from behind you, cutting through the air like a blade. “A family reunion? Really?”
You turned and saw Hydrax standing just beyond your mother, a chilling smirk twisting her lips. The taunt in her voice twisted in your gut, but it was the look on your mother’s face that shattered your moment of safety—her expression drained of color, eyes widening in disbelief.
“Y-Yumi?” she stammered, as if seeing a ghost. “But… didn't you die? We looked everywhere for you but—”
Hydrax’s lips curled into a cruel smile, her gaze locking onto Aiko’s as she cut her off. “Surprised, Mother? Oh, I’ve changed. I’m not the girl you remember.”
Each word dripped with malice, a stark reminder of the sister you once knew—you though you knew—lost and transformed into something unrecognizable. The emotional weight of the moment pressed down on you, and a part of you clung desperately to the hope that maybe, just maybe, Yumi was still somewhere inside.
---
The pro-heroes began to gain control, but Shigaraki was not finished yet. He ordered Kurogiri to summon the Nomus from the factory just as Mt. Lady demolished the walls, allowing Best Jeanist and Gang Orca to neutralize the remaining Nomus. As the battle raged, All Might’s voice rang out, firm and unwavering. “It’s over. You villains have lost!”
Gran Torino’s voice cut through the chaos, steady and calm. “Underestimating the heroes was your biggest mistake.”
Just then, several portals opened, and more Nomus began to emerge, the horrific reality of their creation sinking in. Before you could react, a portal engulfed both you and Bakugo, pulling you away from the chaos. You heard your mother scream your name, her voice a desperate plea that faded into the darkness enveloping you.
---
As the heroes regrouped, an ominous shadow emerged from the depths, his presence suffocating and terrifying. Best Jeanist attempted to bind him, but with a simple motion, the figure unleashed a devastating shockwave that sent everyone sprawling back, their resolve shaken.
Standing before the stunned heroes was none other than All For One himself, the embodiment of their worst nightmares.
From somewhere outside, Midoriya and the others looked on in horror, their hearts pounding in their chests. They had come face to face with a terror they weren’t prepared for, the weight of their situation crashing down like a tidal wave.
While back on your side, you struggled against the disorienting pull of the portal, a single thought echoed in your mind, stark and haunting: This is far from over. Your sister’s betrayal stung, your mother’s fear ignited a fire within you, and in that moment, you knew that the fight was just beginning.
