"What!?"
"Yn, I'm sorry. But Ethan is gone. We need to get back to Earth."
"No! He is right there!" You desperately gestures to the Achaian vessel outside.
"Ethan would do exactly the same thing in my shoes." Richard then turned to William. "On your count."
"Initialising the bubble in five.."
"No!" You hurry to the computer to try and do anything to stop him.
"Yn, stop. That is an order." Richard says. Dillon stops your hand movement and you try to make him let you go.
"I don't answer to you. I'm not leaving Ethan!"
William is frowning.
"William, I gave you an order." Richard tells him.
"I'm picking up a faint radio communication from the Achaian ring." William tells him.
Your eyes widen. "It's Ethan! Pull it up now." You harshly shake Dillon off you as William pulls it up.
"Salvare, this is Jason. Do you copy?"
"We hear you, Jason." William answers.
"We need to get you off that ship." Richard tells him.
"Two steps ahead of you, buddy."
You sigh in relief at hearing Ethan's voice. Breathing heavily in relief, you lean on the desk in front of your screens, horrified of how close it was.
...
Jason and Ethan run to spacewalk over to the Salvare, but Ava shows up.
"Too late, Ava. Don't try and stop us." Ethan tells her.
"I'm not here to threaten you. We need you to save us."
Ethan frowns at her. "You want mercy? From us?"
The lights of more Achaians hovers up behind Ava. "You say you want peace? Prove it."
"You want our protection? You have to swear. Swear that you won't harm Earth."
"You have my word."

Back on the Salvare, Ethan walks out of the airlock and see Richard, who had gone to meet him.
"Achaian tech is susceptible to high-density neutrino bursts that magnetar shooting out." Richard says to catch him up on what they've found out.
"How do we stop that?" Ethan asks him.
"Stop that?"
"How do we save them?"
"No, no. We're not saving them. We need to get the science to USIC to destroy them."
"And Ethan's deal will make sure there's a USIC for us to get back to." Jason tells him.
"Their lives for Earth's safety."
