You're running when you look back and see Sasha just standing there as the creature looks at him. When he reaches the shuttle, Ethan turn around and see you stopping still far away from the shuttle. You call out for Sasha who isn't moving.
"Yn! Damn it, Sasha! Run!" Ethan shouts and pull up his gun, aiming at the creature. "I can't get a shot." He tells Jason beside him.
"I can do it." Jason says but Ethan doesn't move. "Ethan, I can do it."
"Okay, go." He gives him the gun and takes off to reach you.
Getting to you, Ethan grabs your hand and pull you with him. Jason aims at the creature standing by Sasha. Shooting, he hits the creature, killing it.
"Sasha, run!" Ethan shouts to him while running to the shuttle with you. "I'm starting her up. Cover him." He tells Jason when you reach the shuttle.
More creatures are crawling under the sand toward the shuttle. Jumping up from the ground, they shriek loudly. Sasha and Jason jump in and close the shuttle door right before one of them reaches it.
"Everybody strap in!" Ethan orders and you all do.
"They're trying to get in." You say as you all hear the sound of the creature climbing and scratching on the shuttle.
"Let's see how they like space." Ethan says and takes off from the planet.

Erik and Harper take a boat to Old Seattle and talk to the 17 year old boy. The kid, Marcus, explains his theory. He shows them the distortion the waves had and found out what the soundwave looks like.
...
You stand in the airlock with Jason and Ethan, waiting for the decontamination to complete. You sense an awkward tension between the two men.
"Anything else you need from me?" Jason asks Ethan.
"No."
It gets uncomfortably silent. You clear your throat for Ethan to take the hint and not be so cold.
"Just, uh.. go take a break. You've earned it." Ethan adds.
"Decontamination complete." An automatic voice announce.
Jason just walks out as soon as the door slides open. You glance at Ethan, then walk into the Salvare with him. No one notice the small creature crawling into the ship afterwards.

Sasha is feeling odd and tries to feel better by sleeping with Michelle, but it doesn't work. He sees something that seems like hallucination of himself for a moment, but then it's gone.
...
Ethan is working in the shuttle bay, pumping the water you got from the moon into the Salvare. William is there with him.
"At least that's one small victory. Sure beats recycled urine any day." Ethan tells William. "I mean, can you really call it first contact if it was just some big-ass alien insect?"
"Next time we land somewhere, bring guns and bug spray." William suggests and Ethan chuckles.
"Did you get a chance to examine that chunk of artefact yet?"
"I did indeed."
"And?"
"This thing is strong.. right he down to the atomic level, but.. it's not indestructible."
"That's good."
"I'd say so."
"Any idea why they're sending these things out into the galaxy?"
"Humans sent probes to the bottom of the ocean.. to the moon, to the Jupiter."
"You think they're probes?"
"It's a working hypothesis. Maybe these things are completely harmless. Maybe the aliens are.. just like us.. curious."
"That's what Erik thinks.. that maybe they're not good, but they're probably not evil."
The lights flickers and sounds crackle slightly, but they don't hear anything else and just ignore it.
"He sounds like a smart man, your brother."
"You guys are a lot alike, actually." Ethan tells him.
William grins. "Nah. I'm an original. There's only one of me-of me-of me-"
Ethan frowns at William glitching. "William?"
Then an alarm beeps and he gasps as the gravity is turned off in the shuttle bay and he starts flouting.
Something catches on fire and his eyes widen. He's too far from anything to push himself away from it. Jason heard the alarm and run to the door, seeing him. "Ethan!"
"Jason, there's a fire!"
Jason takes a fire extinguisher and opens the door. He starts floating and aim at the fire.
"Wait, no!"
Jason sprays at the fire but it throws him back and into the wall harshly. Then the gravity comes back on and they fall to the floor.
"Jason." Ethan says running over to his hunched over figure while clutching his head.
"I'm fine." Jason grumbles and walk away.
"William? Are you okay?" Ethan asks, but he doesn't appear or answer. "William!"
