"Negative matter production is stable." Iara tells Dillon.

"Okay, here goes nothing. Initialising micro wormhole."

"It's collapsing as quickly as it forms."

"Increasing flux of negative matter." He tried but it doesn't work and he curse angrily.

Then Richard walks into the particle accelerator. "Hey. You done with Iara?"

"Do we look done?"

"I need to borrow her for an hour. Sift through all the guidance data we got from the Achaian ring."

Dillon turns to Iara. "It's gonna take another hour or so to reset, so you might as well."

"Great, I'm relieving Ethan on deck. So whenever you're ready, Iara. Okay?" Richard tells her and walk out.

Iara turns to Dillon in disbelief. "After what he did to me? Manipulating my code. Slowed my processing down so much I couldn't think. Couldn't function."

"Technically, that was all me." Dillon tells her.

"On his orders! He watched me being tortured like it was entertainment, and now I'm supposed to forgive him?"

"You don't have to forgive him. Okay? Just at least give him a chance to make it right. It's hard. It's real hard. I know. But that's kinda how humans do it."

...

Jason and Paula wake up by a loud crash. They follow the noise and see scratch marks on the shuttle. The Salvare finally makes it back to the planet. Hearing a creature in the bushes, Paula shoots toward it, which makes it go away. Jason finds footprints but no creature.

...

Jason, Bernie and Paula get back on the Salvare and Ethan meets them at the airlock. The new William presents himself while Zayn goes to greet Bernie. Paula stops Zayn before he reaches Bernie and tells him she needs him to check the creature's blood sample and run tests on it. Ethan asks them if it's hostile. Paula says not at all because it bolted after one shot. Jason doesn't seem convinced and aren't impressed with how she approached the situation down there her, but keeps it to himself for now. Ethan asks what they think about the planet and they say they think they've found the future.

...

"You can read the Achaian data?" Iara asks Richard as he goes through in the observation deck.

When Richard had come to relieve Ethan, he went to meet Jason and the others then was gonna head for the kitchen since you'd be preparing some food.

"Not at all. But you can."

"What for?"

"I want to track how they move. See if there's patterns, then build some kind of early detection system."

"So we can avoid them?"

"Stay away, stay alive."

"It won't matter. That data's useless." She says and he frowns at her. "Their system of coordinates, unit measure, none of it matches with the Salvare's positioning system. We'd have to build a kind of Rosetta Stone."
