Ethan wakes up with a gasp. He sits up in his tube and look around at the empty soma chamber.
"Yn?"
Getting no response, he gets up and walk out to the corridor.
"William?"
Then suddenly James Hudson walk around the corner and he looks at his former Commador and mentor with wide eyes.
"Stone!" He claps his hands and smile as he sees him. "Big day. Have you had a chance to look outside?" He gestures to the window and Ethan turn to it and see Saturn.
"Commander Hudson, report to the bridge for Saturn docking." Is heard from the speakers.
Hudson goes, but Ethan stop him. "Hudson, wait! Something's is gonna happen. Something terrible. You have to trust me."
Hudson glance at him confused and then laughs while continuing walking to the observation deck.
...
"Commander Jason." Bernie says as he walks up to him. "Just the person I was looking for. Has a nice ring to it, right? Commander Jason? It sounds like-"
"Bernie, get to the point."
"Okay, look, no one planned for us to be awake for this long, right? At some point, we will run out of food. We need to plan for the worst. And if that piece of ship rogue planet can actually harbour life, there is a good chance the moon Michelle found has everything we need-"
"It's four light-years away."
"It's not that long of a detour, okay? I just, I really think it's worth the extra time it'll take to go in-"
"Bernie. That's a decision for Ethan to make. Okay?"
Bernie sighs and rub his face. "Okay."
After Bernie walks away, Jason looks thoughtful.
...
"I'm getting nowhere." Javier mutters as he goes over everything about the soma system with August.
"You think he's gonna be okay?" She asks him.
"Ethan? Yeah."
"I hope he does. Especially for Yn, she seems to really care about him."
"Of course, aren't they, like, a thing?"
"Like a couple?"
Javier shrugs. "Or just hooking up."
"You think?"
He raises an eyebrow at her. "Have you not sensed the obvious sexual tension between them? The yearning looks Ethan gives her when she walks out of a room. The way Yn takes every opportunity to touch him, to comfort him."
"I mean, yeah, but.. I don't think they are.. at least not yet. They should though."
"Eh, only a matter of time anyway. But I think they're banging already. Wanna bet on it?"
