No One's POV'Lady Senju is still alive. Her chakra is dangerously low. She needs to get to Konoha as soon as possible.' Shikaku walked towards his two best friends. 'Inoichi, Chōza, I'm going back to Konoha with Lady Senju. Can you look around here some more?' 'We will. But be careful.' Shikaku returned to the medical nin and they lifted the unconscious Senju onto his back. 'One of us two will accompany you if there's anything on the way.' Shikaku, one of the medical nin and Kotetsu made their way back to Konoha as quickly as possible.
When they arrived in Konoha, the three of them took Ely to the hospital, where she was already expected. The medical nin took her straight to a special room where her chakra was to be restored. 'Shikaku, how is it looking?' 'Lord Third. They are trying to restore her chakra. Chōza and Inoichi have stayed on site with the second medical nin. They should be arriving in Konoha soon as well.'
A few days have now passed since the day Ely was brought back to Konoha and Team 7 has just arrived at the Hokageoffice to report back. 'The mission was dangerous, but I'm impressed by your team spirit. Kakashi, I'd like to talk to you in private for a moment.' 'All right. You three go home and get some rest.' Sakura, Sasuke and Naruto left the room, and everyone walked home. 'Is everything all right, Lord Third?' 'I'll get straight to the point. Ely is in the hospital and her two teammates were buried a few days ago. I should have listened to her. Ely's gut feeling was right. The jonin I had chosen as the new sensei led the three of them into an ambush. He killed Ryoko and Nao. Ely's chakra was dangerously low, but it was possible to restore it. She just hasn't woken up yet.' Without much ado, Kakashi said goodbye to the Hokage and headed straight for the hospital.
Kakashi POV
Lord Third's words hit me like a knife. I have already lost so many people who were important to me. The fact that Ely is now in this situation could have been prevented. Her age has unsettled everyone. When I arrived in the hospital room, I went to her bedside. It looked as if she was sleeping peacefully. Her wounds had already healed, and her chakra had been restored. She just needed to wake up.
After a short stay in Ely's hospital room, I made my way home. I put my bag down there and returned to the hospital. Now I was sitting in the hospital room again, reading my book. It had just become so exciting again. I was so engaged in reading that I didn't realise when Ely moved.
Ely POV
I opened my eyes and took a quick look around and spotted Kakashi. 'Not even in the hospital can you leave that damn book out.' He looked at me with wide eyes. 'You've woken up. I'm so glad. What do you remember?' 'Everything. They're dead. Niichan it hurts so much and yet it feels so empty at the same time.' He looked at me with a sad expression. 'I'm always here for you, Ely. It will get better with time, but it won't go away completely. No matter what, you can always come to me. You're my little sister and I'm always here for you.' Tears ran down my cheeks at his words. 'Thank you, Niichan. I love you.' Kakashi took me in his arms and whispered words of encouragement.
After a while, I sent Kakashi home, as he had just returned from a rather difficult mission. Now I was sitting alone in the room and my thoughts returned to the moment when Ryoko and Nao died, and it just hurt like hell. A knock snapped me out of my thoughts. Grandpa Sarutobi came through the door and sat down on the chair where Kakashi had been sitting earlier. 'It's good to see that you're awake. We were very worried about you.' 'Grandpa, what about Ryoko and Nao?' 'They were both buried a few days ago. If you like, I can accompany you to both graves tomorrow.' 'Thank you, Grandpa. When can I get out of here? The walls are making it hard for me to think about anything else.' 'I'll talk to a medical nin and see if you can go home after visiting the cemetery.' 'Thank you, Grandpa.'
The next morning, Grandpa Sarutobi picked me up as promised and we walked to the cemetery. I stopped at the graves of Ryoko and Nao because Grandpa Sarutobi wanted to give me the opportunity to be alone at the graves. I knelt down between the two graves and closed my eyes. 'I know that if I start now with, I'm sorry, you two will most likely come out of your graves to beat some sense into me. That's why I'm not going to say that. I've only been awake since yesterday, but I miss you both so much. It all feels so empty and bare. I will miss you very much.' My tears ran down my cheeks and I couldn't suppress a sob. I sat like that for a few more minutes until I got up to walk to Grandpa Sarutobi. 'Kakashi will most likely be here in Konoha on a small mission with his team, but you're welcome to go home.' 'Thank you, Grandpa.'
I walked through the streets of Konoha until I was in front of the Yamanaka family flower shop and entered. 'Ely, long time no see. What can we do for you?' 'Hello Ino. I'd like to add two more white lilies to my flower order.' 'I'll let my mum know.' 'Don't you have a mission?' 'No, not today and no training either, so I'm helping mum out here.' 'It's nice to see you. How's your team?' 'All right. One always says what a drag and the other just eats. We're the kids' version of our parents' team.' 'Still, you're not your parents and you can achieve great things.' I said my goodbyes to Ino and made my way home.
