Chapter 31

Ely POV

We've been travelling for two days now, and the starting point of our mission is getting closer and closer. 'Kakashi, what's the plan?' 'I don't have one yet.' 'Then we should think of one as soon as possible.' When we arrived at the starting point, we started to work out a plan. 'In the end, we should just observe the hideout and see what activities are going on. This alone could take several days. It would be good if we took turns so that each of us has enough opportunities to rest. I've seen that there's a small village not far from her, so one of us could get something to eat from time to time. When we've finished this part, we'll think about something for the next one. What do you think?' 'That's a good plan, Ely. Who's going to do the first night shift?' 'I'm happy to do it.' Now the plan was in place. Hopefully something will happen quickly, otherwise we'll really be here for several days just observing.

Unfortunately, it came as it had to and we had already been here for five days. We alternated shifts and each of us had been to the village at least once. If something doesn't happen here soon... At that moment, something moved at the entrance to the hideout. 'Kakashi, wake up. Something's happening.' Kakashi literally jumped from his branch to me, and we now observed exactly what was going on at the entrance. With the Sharingan, of course, the whole thing went a lot better. 'Kakashi, I'll follow the man and put him into a genjutsu to get some information.' 'All right. I'll keep watching here. Be careful, we don't know how strong this man is.' 'I'll be careful.' With that, I jumped onto the nearest branch and followed the man. I had already suppressed my chakra so that a sensor nin wouldn't be able to track me down or detect me.

He ran deeper and deeper into the forest and I kept my distance, because you never know whether the person might be trying to lure you into a trap. When he stopped, I scanned the surroundings and closed my eyes briefly. Mh, I can't feel any chakra, only that of the man down there. I watched him for a while to make sure there was no danger and then jumped from the tree I was standing on and walked towards him. Startled, he turned round to face me, unable to see my face and therefore my eyes.

'It's dangerous to be travelling alone in this forest. Especially when you're a little girl.' A slight grin flitted across my lips. 'Oh, but what am I going to do then? You're not going to hurt me, are you?' If he's going to start like that, why don't we just play along? 'No, I won't hurt you as long as you're good.' Ugh. What kind of pervert is that! I didn't move, which was apparently a very good sign for him, because he came closer and closer. 'Oh, little girl, why don't you show me your face?' 'You're welcome, you creep!' Now the fun can begin on my side. I raised my head and the moment he looked into my eyes; he already regretted the move.

-in my genjutsu world-

'Where are we here? Get me off this stake.' 'Welcome to my genjutsu. I've adapted it somewhat to a training ground in Konoha. Wonderful, isn't it?' 'Untie me!!!' The panic in his eyes was clear to see. 'You're going to tell me everything that's going on in the hideout now, understand?' 'I'm not going to tell you anything.' I couldn't help but laugh. So he doesn't seem to know anything about the Sharingan. 'You will tell me everything, because not only can I use my Sharingan to recognise when someone is lying, but in this world, it acts like a truth serum on my opponent. So, let's get started. Just a little warning, if you try to fool me, one needle after another will pierce your skin.'

It didn't take long before I had all the information I needed, and he had several needles in his body. Let's dissolve the genjutsu then.

Oops, I think that was too much for him. The 'poor' guy was lying unconscious on the floor. Well, he won't get up that quickly, because we know what it did to Kakashi and Sasuke to be trapped in Itachi's genjutsu and you can imagine it's similar with mine. I quickly made my way back to Kakashi. 'Kakashi, here's the scroll with the information for Tsunade.' 'Then let's go.' 'You will go, I have one more part to do.' Kakashi just nodded and then disappeared straight away.

Let's hope that everything goes the way Tsunade wants it to.
