I've included a little time jump in this chapter.

Ely POV

Before our faces and therefore our lips could meet, there was a knock at the door. I heard Sasuke mutter, 'What timing.' Then there was another knock. 'I'd better go and check, or someone might kick my door in.' Sasuke nodded curtly and I walked to the door and opened it. 'Sakura, what are you doing here?' 'I've been waiting all day for you to come back. I really need to talk to you.'

Why? It was just so nice with him. I can't let her in when Sasuke is there. At that moment, I felt his chakra dissipate. Too bad, then. 'Come in and let's talk.' We walked into the living room together, where we sat down on the floor. 'What did you want to tell me that couldn't have waited until tomorrow?' I looked at her with a sceptical expression. She scratched the back of her head sheepishly. 'I've met someone.' Now my interest was piqued.

'You've met someone. Is he from the village? Where did you meet him? Is he also a ninja? What does he look like?' I wasn't curious at all. (note the sarcasm) 'I met him at the chunin exams. He comes from a small village not too far from here. His appearance, tall, dark hair, dark eyes and he has a mysterious aura about him.' I could see exactly why she fancied him, so one thing I can say with certainty is that she remains true to her type of man. When I look at Sasuke, the description fits him too. 'Are you going to see him again?' 'I hope so. We'll keep in touch via ravens.' 'You're hopelessly in love.' 'Do people notice that?' 'Only if people know you well.' Sakura then told me a few more things about the mysterious man and how the chunin exams were. I was proud of her progress and that I was able to help. After a while, Sakura said goodbye and left the apartment.

I took another deep breath and went over the events that had happened before Sakura arrived. I was so absorbed in my thoughts that I didn't hear the throat clearing behind me.

Suddenly, two arms wrapped around me, and I was startled. 'Maybe now we can pick up where we left off.' His voice sounded so soft but also rough. I blushed slightly and then turned round in his arms. 'No one else should come.' He rested his forehead against mine. 'I know you have to pretend to the others that you hate me, but...' Before he could even continue speaking, I closed the distance and kissed him gently on the lips. After a short time, he returned the kiss. It became more and more passionate and demanding. Nevertheless, we had to separate due to lack of air.

We just looked into each other's eyes for a while, and I could lose myself in them. For fuck's sake, I had sworn to kill him for everything he had done, only to learn that this was just a facade. My feelings for him were indescribable.

As if he could read my mind, he kissed me again, this time gently, yet greedily, as if his life depended on it. 'Stay.' He looked at me with a sad expression. 'I'd love to, but I can't. I have to keep up this facade.' 'I understand that. Sasuke, you won't be coming here so easily anytime soon. Naruto will be back soon.' 'I know. But we'll keep in touch, and I'll find a way to see you.' We say goodbye to each other with one last passionate kiss.

Naruto would soon be back. I'm really curious to see how he's changed and whether he's changed at all. I was just about to walk back to my flat from the cemetery when I was stopped by Sakura, Konohamaru, Udon and Moegi. 'Ely, he's back.' I looked at the group in front of me in surprise. 'Who's back?' 'Naruto, he's back. We're on our way to see him. Are you coming with us?' 'Of course. I haven't seen him for a long time. I'm so excited to see how much he's changed.' Sakura nodded in agreement, and we set off together in search of Naruto. Suddenly the four of them stopped and I stopped too, looking in the same direction. I had to hold my hand in front of my eyes and tried to see who was standing there.

Could it be, was it really Naruto?
