Between Us(Book 1)

Meeting

A/N: Morgan is a well known singer as well as a student and up and coming designer. She's basically a Jack of all trades. Her and Colin are three years apart. This chapter is and few days after they've said I love you.

Morgan

"Are you sure I look okay?" She fretted.

"Yes,you look fine. They're gonna love you."

They were at his parents house, and she was being introduced to a good amount of the family today. Knowing how her family was to new people, she was terrified to meet his from the start.

She had on a simple dress that was white at the top then blue on the bottom,she covered her shoulders with a cream blazer and a pair of her favorite shoes. Did she really look okay? She kept smoothing her hair before he stopped her hand.

"You look fine,you'll be fine.."

"You promise?" She looked up to him, searching for some kind of comfort to her anxiety.

"Yes,I promise" he kissed her cheek before leading her into the house.

"Ma?" He called before moving them further in and going to the back door to the backyard.

"Colin!" A group of people swarmed around him in greeting before they stood back and stared at her. Oh god, they hated her already. He grabbed her hand and pulled her close again.

"Everyone, this my girlfriend,Morgan. Morgan this is my mom Teresa,my dad Rick, my sister Devon,my brother..." He kept going down the line as she greeted everyone with a hug and smile. They sat down to eat and thus began the 20 questions. She felt like she was at an interview, but maybe in some form it was.

"So Morgan what do you do?"

"I'm a singer but I do other things as well."

"Colin tells me you go to school?"

"Yeah I graduated early,went to school to get my associates degree in creative writing, now I'm in the middle of getting my bachelors in fashion design before I get my bachelors in psychology."

"How do you manage all of that with your schedule?"

"I do all of my classes online,I keep my laptop with me and when I travel anywhere I work on schoolwork."

"Speaking of designing she designed those clothes I got you.." Colin spoke up to her.

"Oh really? They're beautiful. You're very talented. So are you coming out with your own line?"

"Yes,um it should be out around November. It's a plus size fashion line."

"how old did you say you were?"

"I didn't..I'm twenty two, ill be twenty three in September.."

"You're so young! I would have thought you were older. Not many twenty two year olds have it together like that. Colin just figured himself out and he's twenty six!" She looked to the side of her just in time to see him roll his eyes as the rest of the family laughed.

They went on even after dinner. Question after question. Joke after joke. It reminded her of her family. Seeing him around his family was heartwarming, he was so natural and calm and she couldn't help but to admire him.

"You okay?" He murmured in her ear.

"I'm fine." For once, she really was fine. He laced his fingers with hers in her lap before going back to the conversation. They were talking about his game and what he hoped for the new season.

"So where did you two meet?" His sister spoke up, sipping her wine.

"My best friend Sammie introduced us when we came to visit LA.."

She remembered how uninterested she had been that night. How she was too caught up on Harry to see that something good was right in front of her.

"Visit?"

"Yeah, um we live in London though I'm originally from Maryland.."

"Wow, that's incredible. London...maybe you can finally get Colin to travel abroad before settling down." She winked as they both smiled timidly at one another. Settle down with Colin...that sounded nice.

When they left the drive home was quiet but comfortable. They got to her apartment she was renting for her time in LA.

"You know,my mom loves you." He smiled softly as he flopped down on the couch.

"I think she's awesome" she smiled, sitting across from him at the end of the couch. They went quiet again as they sat on there next to eachother. He slid closer.

And like a magnet, he was closer to her; his lips at her neck. He knew her spot now, so his ultimate goal was to keep going at it till she gave in. But she was already into it as soon as his lips touched her skin.

She slowly slid off her blazer; moved to straddle his lap, leaned forward into the kiss. Again, his strong arms pulled her close to his body,the intensity of the kiss strengthened.

"Lets go to my room.." She breathed as he kissed over her neck. He grasped onto her thighs before standing up,holding onto her as they made their way to her room. Continuing what was a long afternoon.
