"Let's gamble," she said with a grin.
You looked at her, confused. "Gamble?"
"Yes! On the second floor, there's a casino," she explained, glancing up at the ceiling. "It's the perfect way to get you situated."
You followed her gaze and then looked back at her. "I don't know…"
"Girl, come on!" she smiled, grabbing your hand. "Let's go,"
"Oh, uh, okay!" you exclaimed as she pulled you through the bustling crowd.
Mina led the way, holding onto your wrist as you hurried to keep up. You tried to avoid bumping into people, but you accidentally brushed past a few, quickly apologizing even though they probably couldn't hear you.
Finally, you and Mina stopped in front of a set of stairs. The stairway was covered in a pixel-patterned carpet.
The walls on either side were adorned with awards and paintings with purplish-yellow lamps that cast a warm glow throughout the space.
Mina carefully began to ascend the stairs, and with a sigh, you looked down at the floor before following closely behind her.

Once you arrived on the second floor, the sounds of slot machines and cheers from a group of people around the poker tables greeted you.
There were numerous machines in the area, along with a few roulette and poker tables.
You stepped in front of Mina, gazing around at all the attractions inside.
"I didn't take you for the gambling type," she said, placing her hand on her hip.
You turned to face her. "I'm not. This place just looks really cool," you replied awkwardly with a smile.
"Yeah, you're right," Mina agreed as she walked forward, passing by some slot machines.
"Do you come up here often?" you asked, walking beside her with your hands wrapped around your purse strap.
"Hell no!" she exclaimed, furrowing her brows as she searched for a place to start gambling.
"What? I thought you said you came here often."
"Yeah, I go to the club, not the casino." she clarified matter-of-factly.
"And why's that?" you inquired.
"My luck is shit, that's why," she admitted, letting out a light chuckle. "Every time I come up here, I end up going bankrupt."
You laughed at her confession. "It's okay, my luck isn't all that great either."

She continues walking and stops by a slot machine, resting a hand on it. "Try this first."
