Bakugo leaned slightly against the bench, arms crossed, eyes following your every step as you made your way across the training grounds.
You were really here.
It still surprised him—he wasn't sure you'd show.
A part of him had convinced himself you wouldn't.
But now that you were standing in front of him, that familiar knot of tension in his chest started to loosen.
Just a little.
Kirishima met you halfway with a grin, still catching his breath. "I'm really glad you're here!" he said, voice light but sincere.
You smiled, soft and steady. "Yeah... I'm glad I had the courage to come."
Bakugo clicked his tongue and looked off to the side. "Tch. 'Bout time."
You looked at Bakugo and simply smirked as you adjusted your bag and looked around. "So... what do you guys usually do in here?"
"We run through different routines," Kirishima explained, motioning around the mat. "Some days it's combat. Some days mobility. Tactical drills. Bakugo keeps the pace up."
"Because it matters," Bakugo said simply, grabbing a towel from the bench. "Heroes don't slack."
You nodded. "Makes sense."
"We could start somewhere lighter for you," Kirishima offered, wiping sweat from his chin with a towel. "Ease you into it."
You nodded again. "I'm down for that. Whatever works."
Bakugo stepped forward, tossing his towel back onto the bench. "Mobility and reaction drills. Good place to start. Not basic. Not brutal. Just right."
Kirishima clapped his hands once. "Then it's settled. But first—we stretch."
You nodded and smiled as you placed your bag near the floor next to your water bottle.
You all then began to move to a clear space near the edge of the mats.
Kirishima took the lead naturally, dropping down into a seated hamstring stretch as he spoke. "Alright, just like always—start slow, loosen everything up first. Don't push anything too hard."
You mirrored his movement, legs extended, reaching forward gently.
Bakugo followed a moment later, not saying much, just moving into the stretch beside you with a familiar sharpness.
"So how long's it been since you've done any of this?" Kirishima asked, glancing your way with a casual tone.
You took a breath. "Long enough that everything already feels tight."
