You stood there for a moment, watching his retreating figure as he walked off, his movements stiff with frustration.

The night air was cool against your skin, the hum of the distant neighborhood blending with the quiet rustle of the trees lining the street.

Despite his obvious irritation, you couldn't help the grin tugging at your lips.

You did it.

You actually got Bakugo to agree.

You didn't actually think it would work, and now that it did, you felt an indescribable amount of happiness.

He'd probably regret it the second he got into his car, but at least now he was locked in.

You exhaled, shaking your head as you watched him go, the tension slowly leaving your shoulders.

But just as you were about to bask in your victory once more, something clicked in your brain.

You still had to figure out when he was free to come over.

Shit.

All the excitement from him accepting made you totally forget about the most important aspect of this deal.

How was he supposed to help you if you didn't set a date?

Your eyes widened slightly as realization sank in.

If you let him walk away now, he'd probably find some excuse to avoid you until the end of time.

Without thinking, you took off after him, your feet tapping against the pavement as you quickened your pace.

"Hey, wait!"

Hearing your voice, he tensed up.

He took a deep breath through his nose and let out an annoyed sigh, not even bothering to slow down his pace.

As he walked toward his car, he slightly turned his head, looking at you walking towards him from the corner of his eye.

"Hold on!" You pleaded.

After a moment , he sharply turned his head back around.

Tch. Asshole.

Your brows furrowed in determination as you pushed forward, practically jogging to catch up. "Hey-hey! I'm serious. Slow down!"

At that, he finally stopped, his shoulders rising and falling in one sharp, irritated breath.

He turned just as you skidded to a stop in front of him, his crimson eyes narrowing as he looked down at you. "What now?"
