Oh shit. oh shit. oh shit.

OH SHIT.

You practically skid around the corner, nearly knocking over an old man carrying a grocery bag.

He shouts something in your direction, but it was lost in the wind since you're already gone, sprinting full-speed down the sidewalk, heart hammering against your ribs.

Your bag bounces against your side with every step, your breath ragged as you weave through narrow streets, dodging pedestrians.

Why today? Why, out of all possible days, did this have to happen today?!

Your apartment is still at least six minutes away—six—and then you still have to grab your car and drive to your parents' house.

Your parents' house, where Bakugo is expecting you around 5 PM.

Where Bakugo, who has the patience of a landmine, is probably already checking the time, waiting for a single excuse to blow up in your face.

Your feet pound against the pavement, your legs already burning from the sudden burst of speed before you begin to float yourself off the ground with your quirk.

Your feet leave the ground as you propel yourself forward, wind whipping past your face.

As you lifted into the air, you cursed your past self.

"Oh, let's walk to the café today like always," you had thought this morning. "The weather's nice, and I love the fresh air."

Yeah? Well, congratulations.

The fresh air now feels like fire in your lungs, and you would sell your soul for teleportation.

You're floated so fast you barely register the people around you anymore—just a blur of faces, shops, and street signs.

The only thing on your mind now is getting home.

Suddenly, as you were floating, your stomach dropped.

Shit.

You hadn't used your quirk like this in a while, and that one tiny miscalculation was all it took—your control wavered.

Instead of staying steady, you felt yourself slowly drifting back toward the ground.

Gritting your teeth, you fought to regain focus, trying to pull yourself back up.

But each attempt only made your body waver, rising and falling in uneven motions, like a kite caught in unpredictable winds.

Then, without warning, the sensation vanished.
