December 28th, Thursday - 6:27 pm
The moment you stepped into the first exhibit, the lighting shifted—dimmer, softer, tinted blue from the glow of the massive tanks lining the walls. Water rippled against the glass, casting moving reflections across the floor and up the walls like quiet waves.
You slowed without thinking, your steps becoming softer as you took it all in.
Fish of every kind drifted through the water—tiny flashes of neon darting between coral, slow, elegant ones gliding like they owned the space.
Goldfish with flowing tails, striped clownfish weaving through anemones, others with scales that caught the light and shimmered like glass.
You smiled as you walked beside him, eyes already wandering.
"Whoa... there are so many."
You moved a little closer to one of the larger aquarium windows, your reflection faint against the bright colors behind it.
Bakugo stepped up next to you, arms crossed, his gaze scanning the tank without much expression. "People seriously enjoy seeing this?" he asked flatly.
You glanced at him, amused. "Well, yes. A lot of people who come here find it calming."
He huffed lightly, eyes flicking toward the nearly empty room. "Hard to believe. There's hardly anyone here."
You tilted your head, a smug smile tugging at your lips. "Would you have liked it if there were more people then?"
"Tch. Hell no."
A small laugh slipped out of you.
"Thought so."
He rolled his eyes, shifting his weight as he looked back at the fish.
"You don't find this interesting in the slightest?" you asked, leaning a little closer to the glass.
"Not at all."
You let out a soft, dramatic sigh.
"Well, that's too bad. By the end of today, I promise you'll admit you had a great time."
