You had been driving for a few minutes and were now about four minutes away from the hangout location.
The place was only about twelve minutes from your apartment, which was a relief since you didn't feel like driving much.
As you drove, the objects in your bag shifted around while music played in the background.
You often listened to music while driving because it brought you a sense of solace. As of right now, you were listening to "Superpowers" by Daniel Caesar.
Anyway, you glanced to your left and noticed a massive property stretching far beyond what you expected—a place enclosed by tall, iron fences that looked more like they belonged to a private estate than a casual hangout spot.
As you continued following the GPS, you watched the time drop from three minutes to two. Your eyes drifted left again, landing on a large gate attached seamlessly to the towering fences.
It wasn't far—close enough that the pit in your stomach tightened. You glanced back down at the GPS, and that's when you realized it was directing you straight toward that gate.
Your brows furrowed, confusion tightening your expression.
Is this the place?
A few cars were already parked along the fence line—sleek, expensive-looking ones—which confirmed that whatever was going on inside, people were definitely here.
Slowing your car, you eased behind a clean black vehicle and carefully parked, shifting into park. Your heart thumped as you turned your head, taking in the fences again—tall, intimidating, and built to keep outsiders out.
Then, something caught your eye.
Your gaze sharpened, focusing on a sign posted to the right side of the gate, partially shaded but clearly visible once you leaned forward to read it.
