Denki practically dove into the pile like a kid on Christmas morning. "Okay, okay-these are mine. I picked 'em myself, wrapped 'em myself, and yes, they might have a little glitter on them, but that's just bonus love."
He emerged with two clearly distinct presents: one wrapped in an aggressively sparkly silver paper, the other with what looked like a recycled ramen box and a crooked bow made of twine.
He held them up like trophies. "Alright! First one goes to my day-one bro-Sero!"
Sero grinned, already suspicious. "If this is another prank box that farts glitter, I swear to-"
"Have a little faith, man." Denki said, tossing the gift his way.
Sero caught it, shook it gently, and then opened it like it was rigged to explode. When he saw what was inside, he blinked. "Oh. Shit. Wait-this is actually cool."
He pulled out a hoodie-black, oversized, with a neon green cartoon eel on the front, mid-electric zap.
On the back, it read: "CURRENT MOOD." The pun was god-awful. But also... kind of perfect.
"No way," Sero snorted. "This is so ugly. I love it."
"I got it custom-made," Denki said proudly, rocking on his heels. "I saw it and thought: this screams Sero, but also screams in general."
Sero immediately threw it over his head, hoodie and all. "Bro. You get me."
Denki did a little bow. "I know."
Then, with exaggerated grace, he turned to you, holding out the glittery package like he was offering you a crown. "And now, for the most important delivery of the night-Miss Y/n."
You raised your brows and took it carefully. "It's not gonna explode or sing, right?"
"No promises," Denki winked, then dramatically stepped back. "But I hope it makes you smile."
Inside, you found a custom mug, but not just any mug. It had a chibi version of your old hero costume printed on it-complete with floating magnetized items orbiting it like planets-and the words "World's Coolest Hero" in bold letters.
Inside the mug was a packet of fancy hot chocolate and tiny, star-shaped marshmallows.
Your brows lifted as you turned it in your hand, heart warm. "Denki... this is actually really sweet."
He gave you a big, toothy grin. "You're welcome. I heard you were working hard to get back into business so I knew this was the perfect gift."
You smiled softly at him. "Thanks, Denks. This means a lot."
