"A-anyway!" you blurted, too loud and too fast as you bent down and placed your soaked bag carefully on the floor near the entryway.

You didn't even look back at him as you tried to brush off the heat crawling up your neck. "Nice house, by the way."

Bakugo raised a brow but didn't comment on the obvious shift.

He stepped around you, walked over to the kitchen island, and set his briefcase down with a quiet thunk.

"Yeah," he said simply.

You rubbed the back of your neck and finally took a proper look around.

The place was sharp—minimalist, clean, efficient.

The living room stretched out to your left, neutral tones with a massive couch that looked barely touched.

To your right, the kitchen: dark countertops, matte black cabinets, a row of knives that looked like they were more for combat than cooking.

Just ahead was a staircase, sleek and modern, and off to the side—behind a sliding glass wall—was what looked like a separate room.

A weight bench. Dumbbells. Sparring mats.

Of course.

A home gym.

Everything about the place screamed Bakugo.

You stepped forward on instinct, eyes scanning the space, but before you could get more than a few feet in—

"You can look around," his voice called behind you, "but you're getting water all over my damn floor right now."

You paused mid-step and looked down.

Sure enough, a trail of damp footprints and a spreading puddle followed every place your soaked socks landed.

You sighed and laughed lightly. "Big talk from someone doing the exact same thing."

Bakugo clicked his tongue. "Tch. It's my house. I've got the right."

You shook your head with a smirk and backed up toward the entryway, stripping off your shoes and setting them aside neatly near the mat.

Water dripped steadily from your clothes as you wrung the edge of your sweater out.

"Damn," you muttered, holding it out. "We're actually drenched."

Bakugo stood by the kitchen island, wordlessly pulling off his hoodie in one swift motion.
