-2nd person pov-
December 3rd, Sunday - 7:46 pm
Bakugo sat across from you, his eyes wide-completely still.
You had barely taken a breath since you started.
The room around you had faded into nothing: the soft buzz of the fridge, the rain against the windows, even the thunder-muted.
All of it was background noise.
But Bakugo heard every word.
He saw every crack in your voice.
Every tremble in your hands.
And when your story ended, when your voice finally faltered into silence and your eyes refused to meet his anymore, you were no longer the composed person he'd known.
You were unraveling in front of him.
And he didn't move.
Not yet.
Not until he made sure you were done.
Not until the weight of it all had fully landed.
You sat there, hands clenched in the blanket, your chest rising and falling with shallow breaths.
Your eyes were fixed on the floor, glossed over, staring at something far away.
The memory still clung to your skin like blood.
You didn't cry.
You didn't move.
And neither did he.
The silence stretched between you-heavy, dense, aching.
And then...
Bakugo shifted.
Barely.
Just enough to lean forward, elbows resting on his knees, fingers laced tightly in front of him.
His voice, when it finally broke the silence, was soft.
Not weak.
Just... stripped down.
Honest.
"You kept going."
You blinked, slowly lifting your head, still half-lost in the fog of the memory.
He didn't look at you-his eyes were focused somewhere between the floor and the space just past it.
"You were bleeding. Crushed. Could barely walk. But you still got up." His jaw tightened slightly. "You still tried."
You looked down, shoulders folding in like you wanted to disappear.
"You fought," he said, voice firm now. "You fought through a building falling down around you, you fought with your body wrecked, your head bleeding, and your quirk shorting out. You carried him even when it almost broke you."
