-Bakugo's pov-

December 3rd, Sunday - 10:01 pm

Bakugo's eyelids twitched slightly as he stirred, a faint frown settling on his face long before his eyes even opened.

His body was warm—too warm.

His mind tried to tell him he was somewhere familiar, somewhere safe, but his internal clock screamed that he had long passed the time he was normally out cold.

He cracked his eyes open.

Blurry.

He blinked hard, rubbing his face slightly against the side of the couch cushion until his vision sharpened.

The dim light of your living room greeted him first.

The sound of distant thunder still rumbled every now and then, but the rain had mostly stopped.

The room smelled faintly of cherry and vanilla.

But none of that explained the weight pressed against his body.

Bakugo tensed.

His heart did a weird little thump.

His eyes shifted downward, trailing slowly.

And there it was.

His arm—wrapped fully around your waist.

Firm.

Close.

His palm resting just under the hem of your sweater, skin against skin.

Your chin rested lightly on his chest, lips parted in sleep, while the side of your face remained tucked comfortably against his shoulder.

Your left hand lay draped over his sternum, your fingers brushing softly over the fabric of his shirt.

Your legs had somehow ended up curled slightly onto his, your whole body leaning into his side like it had belonged there for years.

His brain short-circuited.

His eyes widened slowly, panic setting in without warning.
