-Bakugo's pov-

November 27th, Monday - 5:59 pm

Bakugo crouched down, examining the kick drum pedal with practiced ease.

His sharp eyes moved over the beater, the tension of the spring, the placement of the footboard.

He pressed down on the pedal a few times, listening to the response.

Too slow. Too weak.

"Tch," he muttered, tilting his head slightly.

With quick, precise movements, he reached forward, tugging at the spring mechanism.

The problem became obvious almost immediately.

The tension was off, and the spring had loosened over time.

It wasn't broken—just badly adjusted.

"This is really what you had a problem with?" he said, turning his head toward Hasuke with a deadpan expression. "This is an easy fix."

Hasuke, still standing awkwardly nearby, averted his eyes.

"Well... I didn't know that," he muttered, rubbing the back of his neck.

Bakugo clicked his tongue, shaking his head. "Should've checked the spring first, dumbass. The pedal's barely got any resistance."

Hasuke tensed slightly at the insult but said nothing, just shifting on his feet.

You, still sitting comfortably on the bed, frowned. "You know, you could explain things without calling him a dumbass."

Bakugo shot you a sideways glance. "Yeah? And you could mind your business."

You snorted, shaking your head.

Turning his attention back to Hasuke, Bakugo jerked his chin toward the desk. "Get me a wrench and whatever other tools you got."

Hasuke blinked. "Oh—uh, yeah. Hold on."

He turned quickly, making his way to his desk, his hands moving a little too fast as he grabbed a small wrench, a drum key, and a screwdriver.

His fingers trembled slightly as he picked them up—probably from nerves and excitement.

Hasuke walked back, handing over the tools.

Bakugo wordlessly took them, adjusting his grip before getting to work.

With swift, precise movements, he tightened the spring tension, adjusting the beater angle, making sure the footboard sat at the proper height.

The room was quiet, the only sound being the subtle metallic clicks of the wrench twisting the bolts.

Hasuke watched intently, his arms crossed but his eyes glued to every movement Bakugo made.
