"God damn it!" The unmistakable voice of your brother reverberated through the halls, filled with exasperation.
You sat up slowly, your curiosity piqued by your brother's outburst.
It wasn't uncommon for him to yell when he missed a beat or broke a drumstick, but something about the tone in his voice was slightly angrier than usual.
His frustration seemed sharper, more urgent.
Sliding off the bed, you padded toward the door, the old hardwood floor cool beneath your feet.
"What's this weirdo doing now?" you muttered under your breath, peeking your head out into the hallway.
The rhythmic drumming kept going, ending each pattern with an ear-tearing screech.
A knot of curiosity twisted in your stomach as you climbed the stairs, each step creaking under your weight.
The hallway leading to your brother's room was dimly lit as you made your way past your parents' room to your brother's bedroom.
As you stepped closer, the continued sound of the drums got louder and sharper with each step you took.
When you stood in front of your brother's open door, the sound of the drums stopped, and you found him sitting on the edge of the drum stool, staring intently at his palms.
He had his drumsticks in his hands, and his foot was placed neatly on the kick drum peddle.
With a plain look on your face, you quietly leaned against the door frame and placed a hand on your hip.
Just as you were about to speak, Hasuke aggressively pressed his foot against the kick drum peddle, making a continuous screeching sound emit from it.
"Why aren't you working, damn it?! He yelled, frustration evident in his voice.
With that, your plain expression turned into one of mischief as you crossed your arms over your chest.
"What's got you so ma-" you started before Hasukes scared voice cut you off.
"JESUS- What the hell y/n?!" He shouted his expression one of surprise.
You chuckled in response, gracing your fingers on the door frame as you stepped further into his room. "Sorry, I couldn't resist."
Hasuke glared at you, his chest rising and falling with the intensity of his frustration.
"You scared the crap out of me," he muttered, running a hand through his disheveled hair.
